  8. Fallkniven - Taiga Hunter knife - TH - SanMai CoS Steel - thermorun - knife

The taiga knives are distinctive hunting and all-round knives for the demanding user. A strong blade in laminated cobalt steel does not only mean a stable function, you notice quite quickly that the edge holds the sharpness really well without being brittle. The reason is the fine, well heat treated and tempered steel but also the convex shaped edge that is not only strong but also wood-sharp. The ergonomic shape of the handle provides a secure grip regardless of weather and wind.

If you look at function and most value for money, the rubber-handle Taiga blades should be preferred. Regardless of the weather and wind, the rubber handle gives a really good grip and when it comes to the steel properties they are of course as good as the knives with wooden handles.

Intended use: Hiking / Hunting / Collection

  9. Fallkniven - Taiga knife SK2L - SanMai CoS Steel - ironwood - knife

As shown in the design, TH1 is a handmade knife with a handle in the very exclusive desert ironwood (lat. Olneya tesota). This species is not listed in CITES Annexes or the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species and is therefore legal to use. Like all natural materials, it varies in texture and color, making each knife an individual creation. A beautifully veined pattern may look attractive but a straight, patterned handle is actually stronger. Desert ironwood, which grows in the southwestern United States, has a somewhat peculiar quality – it is heavier than water, its density is 1.2 kg/dm³ which means it will sink. If you want to maintain or even increase the luster in the wood, treat it with log oil, furniture oil, bench oil or other type of wood oil containing linseed oil. The fact that the blade goes full width through the handle (so-called full tang blade) results in a very strong and reliable construction and gives a comfortable weight to the knife.

Craftsmanship is beautiful because it is varied

The colors of the materials with which the handmade products are made may vary from those shown in the images.
Horn, wood and cornotech are raw materials that by their nature have a marked variability from one supply to another: it is the beauty of quality materials. Add craftsmanship, where the craftsman's hand never makes the same gesture: it's the beauty of craftsmanship. Combine all this and you will always have a different and unique product. It is always different from the one and unrepeatable product that we must necessarily photograph if we want you to understand what we are talking about and what we are offering you.

The most striking feature of this model is in the edge of the blade, a full right to the tip. 29. Fallkniven - DC3 - Ceramic and Diamond Sharpener - Knife

    DC3 Combination Sharpener

    Description

The DC3 is a compact sharpening stone made with a combination of diamond and ceramic, designed to meet all sharpening needs. The diamond side allows for quick sharpening even of the hardest steels, while the ceramic side, made of synthetic sapphires, provides fine and precise finishing.

A key advantage of these materials is that, although they wear down with use, they retain a flat surface—essential for effective and consistent sharpening. Being among the hardest materials available, they can also sharpen high-hardness sintered steels.

    Grits

    • Diamond: 25 microns / ~600 grit – maintenance sharpening and moderate material removal
    • Ceramic: 5 microns / ~3000 grit – edge finishing and pre-polishing

    Use

No lubricants required. For cleaning, use warm water and liquid soap. The surface may feel rough on first use, but it will smooth out quickly.

    Included Accessories

    Supplied with a leather case.

Add the craftsmanship, where the hand of the craftsman never performs the same gesture: it is the beauty of craftsmanship. Combine all this and you will have a product that is always different and unique. 33. Conaz Consigli Scarperia - Senese knife polished bovine horn 50063 - knife

The name clearly indicates the area of origin, but this knife became part of Scarperia's production perhaps as early as the nineteenth century, taking over from an older model called "scimitar" due to the hollow shape of the back of the blade towards the tip.
The handle has no metal seals, apart from the tiny raperelle on which the three pins are pressed, is thinned at the end, making it particularly light, and is made of solid horn.

  36. Conaz Consigli Scarperia - Tre Pianelle ox horn knife - 20 cm - 50071 - TPC20 - knife

The name of this knife, typical of Scarperia tradition, probably derives from the blade machining, which features three planes on each side.

During the 19th century, three different models were produced in Scarperia as part of the "stile knives" group, differing in the workmanship of the blade faces. As the first two models gradually disappeared, only one remained in production during the 20th century. Despite the aggressive blade shape, it was not considered a prohibited knife: the laws of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany first, and later those of the Kingdom of Italy, allowed its use.

  43. Consigli Scarperia - Romano con anello 30cm - ox horn - 50060 - knife

The "Roman" testifies to the widespread mentality in the Papal States for which the knife was considered as a faithful friend to be constantly worn "in his pocket" and to be unleashed at the first hint of a fight or for an immediate response.

Many elements constituting the "Roman" bear witness to the offensive use that distinguished this knife: the sharp blade, the decorations of the lattice handle or fish bone that served to improve the grip, the locking system with fixed spring that prevented the knife could close up accidentally and that at the time of the opening emitted a dry noise that exalted the aggressive expression.

The Fallkniven S1 Forest Knife is considered one of the best knives ever made for outdoor adventure and fishing. Designed to handle the most demanding conditions, it combines ruggedness, ergonomics, and cutting performance in a proven design that has long been a benchmark for enthusiasts and professionals alike.

The heart of the knife is its VG-10 laminated stainless steel blade, a San-Mai construction that combines a high-performance core with tougher outer layers, offering an excellent balance between edge retention, impact resistance, and corrosion protection. The convex grind ensures extraordinary cutting efficiency and greater edge durability, while the modified clip-point profile guarantees high penetration and precision in the most demanding tasks. The long, slightly curved edge is also particularly effective for skinning.

With a thickness of 5 mm, the blade offers exceptional sturdiness and is long enough to handle even light chopping tasks. The Thermorun handle with a knurled surface ensures a secure and comfortable grip in any weather conditions, even with wet or cold hands.

If you’re looking for a classic, top-quality knife that excels in both outdoor activities and field use, the Fallkniven S1 Forest Knife remains one of the best choices available today.

Idun is a deity in Norse mythology, known as the keeper of the apples of eternal youth. These magical apples grant immortality to the gods who consume them, keeping them eternally young and vigorous. Idun plays a crucial role in the Norse pantheon, as without her apples, the gods would begin to age. A famous myth tells of how Loki kidnapped her under the order of the giant Thjazi, causing the gods to age rapidly until her release. Her connection to youth and vitality makes her a central figure in Norse mythology.

Fällkniven AB celebrates its 40th anniversary in the international knife market with a special version of its bestseller, the F1 Pilot survival knife, now made of high-quality Swedish steel (Elmax). Craftsmanship is beautiful because it is varied

The colours of the materials from which the handicrafts are made may vary from those shown in the pictures.

Horn, wood and cornotech are raw materials that by their nature have a marked variability from one supply to another: that's the beauty of fine materials. Add craftsmanship, where the craftsman's hand never makes the same gesture: that's the beauty of fine workmanship. Combine all this and you have a product that is always different and unique. And always different from that unique and unrepeatable product that, necessarily, we have to photograph if we want you to understand what we are talking about and what we are offering you.
