The Chaperon model helped make Nontron's iconic French traditional knife famous. Nontron is a small commune located in the Dordogne department in southwestern France that has a long tradition in the production of handcrafted knives. Its history related to knife making goes back centuries, and even today the town is famous for its high-quality handcrafted knives.
