I designed the ATCF in 1986-87 inspired by my experience with military and security personnel in Central America and the United States. I wanted to create a unique knife that was lightweight yet sturdy, easily accessible and conveniently carried on various garments, completely corrosion-proof, ambidextrous to open and close, and usable with one hand.

The ATCF was the first tactical knife to be fully assembled with screws instead of pins and rivets.
I invented the thumb disk to facilitate opening with both hands. This became a widely copied feature of the ATCF and is used on many other knives by manufacturers around the world.

The ATCF was the first pocket knife to use a knurl on the top of the blade that matches the finger guard at the base of the handle when the blade is closed. The knurl and guard provide protection and a firm grip when the knife is in use. The original ATCF already used a pocket clip to be accessible in various body positions. 

The ATCF is one of the most copied knife shapes in the knife world, and as I often like to proudly say, “The ATCF is the shape...that shaped the whole industry!”

Its name evokes and pays homage to the heroic Black Caimans of the Piave, a department of Royal Navy Arditi and other components on a volunteer basis, who during World War I swam across the Piave River to carry out raids into enemy territory.

The titanium clip can be positioned at three different angles on either side to allow for maximum customization of the port. Its shape is designed to minimize the bulk of the grip outside the pocket.

Among its features, in addition to the carbide glass breaker, is a safety, which when engaged, preserves against a dangerous accidental closing of the blade.

The Black Caiman is a tactical knife that Extrema Ratio, official supplier of Comsubin, has developed and delivered to the G.O.I. (Gruppo Operativo Incursori) of the Italian Navy. Its name recalls and pays homage to the heroic Caimani Neri del Piave, a department of Arditi of the Regia Marina and other components on a voluntary basis, which during the First World War crossed the Piave River by swimming to carry out raids in enemy territory.

Spear Point" 4 mm blade with asymmetrical rounding and partial sharpening of the counterbore to increase the penetration coefficient. The toothing on the blade allows you to cut cables and fabrics with high resistance preserving the sharpness.

In 1947, Mikhail Kalashnikov presented the AK-47 assault rifle he had designed to the Red Army and immediately convinced the decision-making bodies of its development. Mikhail Kalashnikov personally visited the Boker manufacture in Solingen in 2002 and officially introduced the Boker Kalashnikov knife line to the public. More than 70 years after the AK-47 entered service, we now present a truly exceptional special edition model of the knife line and once again honor its brilliant engineering achievement. The Boker Kalashnikov Bayonet Damascus features a unique Damascus steel blade, made from 6Ch3 and 6Ch4 bayonet steel according to the GRAU index of the former Soviet Army and decorated with General Kalashnikov's signature. The stainless Damascus, handcrafted by Chad Nichols, has 80 layers and is hand forged in the Virus pattern. It features an unusually intricate pattern that is the result of a very controlled forging process.

The handle is CNC machined from a block of 6061-T6 aluminum and then black anodized. The stabilized inlays are made of domestic hornbeam wood, reminiscent of the wood in the stock of the famous assault rifle, and together they form the shape of the characteristic vents on the fore-end. The Russian amber shellac color of the original stocks has been accurately reproduced. They are also CNC milled from solid and inserted by hand. All screws and clip are also black anodized. On December 19, 1941, in Eluet El Asel, about 400 men from the 1st Royal Carabinieri Battalion Paratrooper faced the assault of 4 battalions of Indian troops of the British Army. The Tuscania Paratrooper Regiment asked that the Extra Ratio T911 be specifically made as a commemorative knife for its 80th anniversary.

The T911 is a medium-sized folding light and designed for professional use by military operators. It is equipped with a modified spear point blade, flat edge, in Bohler N690 cobalt steel heat-treated to a hardness of 58 HRC, for the best compromise between strength, ease of regrinding and thread hold. The blade is 76 mm long, 4 mm thick, has a stone washed finish and rotates around an adjustable pin which allows to obtain the best fluidity in opening. A brace allows you to lock the pin in the best position.

The handle is in Anticorodal aluminum alloy with high strength black anodized finish and is milled to facilitate the transition from "reverse grip" handle to saber handle.

The blade is opened by means of a pin operated with the thumb. The knife uses a liner lock type blade lock and a safe ensures maximum hold even during heavy use. The safety lever is colored red for better visibility and engages in an advanced position for more instinctive use.

In the handle are integrated a seat belt cutter with easily available and replaceable cutter-type blade, a tungsten glass breaker, a stainless steel knot loosener and a screwdriver for adjusting the pointing optics, in AISI 420 steel.
