It is a button-lock knife that has both integral frame and handle (a “SOLID® squared”). The Maserin Gladio Alato was designed to equip the personnel of the 66th Trieste Airborne Infantry Regiment, the only airborne infantry unit in the entire Armed Force, with a dagger that reflects the spirit, symbolism and specific needs of the unit.

To develop the Winged Gladio, the Maniago-based company collaborated with the Centro Formazione Aeromobile (CFA), affiliated with the Trieste Regiment. The blade has a design reminiscent of the classic Gladio, while the handle, typical of military tactical daggers, features a texture that provides an excellent grip.

Given the tactical context in which the unit operates, the dagger has been equipped with additional features for emergencies: there is a slot glass breaker and two holes on the guard that allow the knife to be attached to a pole or other supports.
