The full-flat-ground blade in nitrogen-enriched CTS BD1N stainless steel offers an excellent balance of edge retention, strength, corrosion resistance, and ease of resharpening. This is the knife that represented lionSTEEL at the Atlanta 2024 Blade Show in the Manufacturing Quality Award competition; it was a challenging project to make. It is a button-lock knife that has both integral frame and handle (a “SOLID® squared”). The parts need to be milled with high precision so that they fit together perfectly ensuring both quality of operation and final aesthetics.

It features a satin-finished CPM MagnaCut steel blade, the frame is made of titanium while the handle is made of carbon fiber, Canvas or G10.

Being manufacturers and having innovation and improvement of quality standard as our goals, receiving the “Manufacturing Quality Award” with this closer was a great honor.

Designed by Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser as the perfect knife for deployed military personnel, the original Military model is one of the most iconic models in the cutlery industry. More than 25 years after its release, the long-awaited Military 2 incorporates several significant design improvements.

In place of the LinerLock, the Military 2's CPM-S30V blade is supported by the Compression Lock mechanism that offers greater strength and even safer one-handed use. Stainless steel folders are oversized, giving the knife greater structural strength and anchoring the four-position pocket clip.

Skeletonized liners are set into peel-ply textured G-10 cheek pads to maintain a slim profile and complement the open-back construction to reduce the overall weight of the knife. .
