The BF2 is a “full-size” folding knife particularly suited for professional use by military and law enforcement personnel in the field. The M1A1 model is Extrema Ratio's personal interpretation, created to pay homage to the historic folding knife used by the Italian Army.

During World War II, the original knife was part of the British Army's equipment. At the end of the war, thanks to the “Marshall Plan” for European recovery, the Italian Army received some of the weapons and equipment supplied to the Allies during the war, including this multifunctional tool. It was later reproduced in Italy in three modified versions.

Extrema Ratio, to bid farewell to this historic and renowned knife, presents a final exclusive version, limited to only 130 pieces.

Like its predecessor, the M1A1 LAST CALL is equipped with a can opener, bottle opener, screwdriver, and knot-tying peg. The reversible clip is designed for maximum concealability.

Technical insight into nitrogen-added steels
Nitrogen steels, or nitrogen-added steels, are alloys in which nitrogen is used as an alloying element instead of, or in addition to, carbon. Although nitrogen is less effective than carbon in hardening the martensitic matrix, it has the advantage of forming stable compounds with chromium to a much lesser extent.
