The injection-molded FRN (fiberglass-reinforced nylon) scales ensure lightness and durability, while the exclusive Bi-Directional Texture provides a secure, non-slip grip in all conditions. The Compression Lock mechanism ensures a solid and reliable blade lock, while helping to keep the knife’s overall weight down.
The full-flat-ground blade in nitrogen-enriched CTS BD1N stainless steel offers an excellent balance of edge retention, strength, corrosion resistance, and ease of resharpening. A knife originating in Romagna, widely used in the countryside of this region, made entirely by hand by Giovanni Nista.
The name Saracca derives from the sarago fish, whose tapered shape resembles the knife's form. Also called “curtel cun el riz” because of the curl on the spring that facilitates the lever release of the blade.
