Boker Plus - Barchan by Kornel Kiss - Black Stonewashed 440B & Sand G10 - 01BP0039 - knife
Inspired by crescent-shaped dunes shaped by wind and erosion, the Böker Plus Barchan embodies the rugged and fascinating character of the desert. Far from the sands, this folding knife tackles every EDC task with determination, whether it's opening boxes, packaging, or ropes, thanks to its straight-back blade in 440B steel with a black stonewash finish.
The sand-brown G10 handle, ergonomic and with a texture reminiscent of wind ripples, ensures a firm grip and comfort. Smooth opening is guaranteed by ball bearings and the double flipper and front flipper system, while the sturdy liner lock secures the blade safely even during the most demanding tasks.
Convenient to carry, the Barchan is equipped with a tip-up pocket clip (right side). Functionality, design, and competitive pricing make this model an authentic Böker with a “plus.”

More than just a damask, Coreless steel made by Japanese Takefu Steel comes with over 70 layers of VG10 and VG2 stainless steel welded, forged and coated between them so that you can form a lightweight, slim and durable blade with a spectacular damask outer pattern.
The peculiarity of Coreless steel, unlike conventional rolled steel or Japanese San-Mai, is that it does not have a hard core steel that is used for the cutting edge but has both the VG10 and VG2 steels arranged to form the cutting edge so alternating and sequential to each other.
This particular construction gives the blade - compared to the two steels that make it, individually taken - greater resistance to oxidation, higher surface hardness (up to 61.5HRC), 25% more than cutting capacity, 25% more than the wire hold capacity and 25% more resilience making the blade more robust and less subject to breakage.
Thanks to this latest steel, Takefu Steel has been rewarded on Japanese territory for research and development and innovation in the cutting-edge landscape. Coreless steel has already been chosen by major brands such as Kai and Mcusta Zanmai who since 2017 proposed it on their top productions of professional kitchen knives.
