Kukri - Gurkha Army

Nepal's national weapon and its Gurkha warriors are distinguished by their sharp curved blade in the lathe and the weight shift towards the tip that allows very effective gaiters. The grip is straight, no guard. Characteristic is the ricotta (kauri) and the leather sheath covered with two small knives (karda and chakmak).

The Special Forces Shovel takes its cue directly from the military spade used by the Soviet Spetnaz, one of the elite corps of the former Soviet Union.
