The Zero Tolerance 0100 is one of the first knives produced by Zero Tolerance, the premium division of Kai USA, which was launched in 2006 to develop professional tools for military personnel, law enforcement, and first responders. The 0100 model was, in fact, one of the first three fixed-blade knives in the original lineup, alongside the 0121 and 0150 models.

The design bears the unmistakable stylistic signature of Ken Onion, the renowned American designer already responsible for numerous successes at Kershaw. The distinctive “S”-curved blade offers an unusual combination of cutting ability, power, and precision, making the ZT0100 suitable for both tactical applications and the most demanding outdoor use.

For its construction, Zero Tolerance chose CPM 3V, a steel then considered cutting-edge for its strength and impact resistance, paired with a tungsten DLC coating and three-dimensionally machined G-10 scales. Notes on the Designer

Michael Walker is to the knife industry what Michael Jordan is to basketball or Wayne Gretzky is to hockey. He shattered established standards, venturing into uncharted territory and elevating the art of knife-making to new heights of innovation and modernity.

In 1980, the folding knife industry had few locking innovations, and only the traditional Back Lock existed. In 1981, Walker invented, developed, and ultimately trademarked the Michael Walker LinerLock®, adding a leaf spring that locked the blade open, making it a true one-handed folding knife. He also included a latch to keep the blade closed by utilizing the force of the internal leaf spring, preventing it from opening in the user’s pocket.

This innovation paved the way for modern cutlery, enabling numerous new designs and future developments leading up to today’s SubFrame Lock, Frame Lock, Flipper Folder, and ball-bearing-equipped IKBS opening systems.

Other inventions include the “Lake and Walker Safety System” (LAWKS), BLADELock, Ball Bearing Lock, and Tough Lock.

Some of the manufacturers he has collaborated with include Spyderco, Columbia River Knife and Tool, Schrade, Böker, and Klotzli.

Walker’s knives and designs have inspired many other custom knife makers, notably Bob Terzuola and Ernest Emerson. Terzuola credits Walker with teaching him how to make a liner-lock folder, and Emerson has stated that seeing one of Walker’s knives at a gun show inspired him to become a knifemaker.

Walker’s knives can be found at the Artifex Gallery in Taos and in the most prestigious collections around the world.

The Extrema Ratio RAO C is a compact folding knife derived from the iconic RAO II.

Thanks to its design, the RAO C is a tool that, despite its small size, manages to guarantee the same robustness and reliability as its larger counterpart while offering improved portability and handling.

The handle consists of two finely crafted anodized aluminum scales, to which Extrema Ratio applies a hard-anodizing treatment, making the handle more resistant to wear and corrosion.

Two steel frames help increase the handle’s sturdiness to withstand the most demanding uses.

The opening lock mechanism is particularly durable, as it is supplemented by a safety system that transforms it into a true fixed blade. The primary safety on the blade is activated by lifting and lowering the locking pin. To ensure maximum safety for the user, a practical and quick secondary safety has been added, which can be activated simply by moving the locking pin horizontally.

The reversible clip is designed to allow for concealed carry in a pocket, making the knife invisible from the outside.

The blade is made of Böhler N690 steel, hardened to 58 HRC, with the classic Extrema Ratio MIL-C-13924 black finish.

To lighten the steel frames, a laser-cut template based on the RAO C profile was created, which was then used to make a gadget included with the knife.

The M1A1 model is Extrema Ratio's personal interpretation, created to pay homage to the historic folding knife used by the Italian Army.

During World War II, the original knife was part of the British Army's equipment. At the end of the war, thanks to the “Marshall Plan” for European recovery, the Italian Army received some of the weapons and equipment supplied to the Allies during the war, including this multifunctional tool. It was later reproduced in Italy in three modified versions.

Extrema Ratio, to bid farewell to this historic and renowned knife, presents a final exclusive version, limited to only 130 pieces.

Like its predecessor, the M1A1 LAST CALL is equipped with a can opener, bottle opener, screwdriver, and knot-tying peg. The reversible clip is designed for maximum concealability.

The drop blade, like all the other tools listed above, features Geotech Camo customization, Extrema Ratio's innovative and original camouflage pattern, created using laser engraving.

The locking mechanism used is the tried and tested LINER LOCK. The handle consists of two anticorodal aluminum scales anodized in the brand new Tactical Mud color.

Directly derived from military specifications, this folding knife is designed to replace a fixed blade in the most demanding operational situations. To ensure maximum reliability, extremely robust materials, increased thicknesses, and a solid and secure back lock opening/closing system have been used.

A manual safety lock ensures maximum protection during use, drastically reducing the risk of accidental closure. When inserted in the closed position, it also prevents the knife from being immediately used against the operator in the event of theft.

Materials and workmanship
All components are machined from solid blocks using high-precision CNC machines, while assembly, adjustment, and sharpening are carried out by hand. The blade is made of N690 cobalt stainless steel, known for its high mechanical strength, great cutting ability, edge retention, and excellent corrosion resistance. It has a flat grind and a hardness of 58 HRC.

The scales are made of Anticorodal, an aluminum alloy that is highly resistant to stress and oxidation. The tang, made of hardened N690, acts as an effective emergency glass breaker. Screws, pins, and clips are made of burnished stainless steel, while the blade, lever, and tang are protected by Testudo treatment, which is highly resistant to abrasion and oxidation. The scales are black anodized.

ROK, part of the SOLID knife family, is made from a single piece of aluminum or titanium and introduces two major innovations. The first is the new H.WAYL System, a LionSteel patent that allows the clip to disappear inside the handle when the knife is in use, reappearing only when needed. In the 1980s, Jimmy Lile developed an elegant folding knife with a button lock mechanism, known as the “Lile Lock.” This patented system consists of a front button on the handle that unlocks the blade when opening and locks it in the cutting position, ensuring safety and ease of use. The monolithic nickel-silver guides support the D2 steel blade, while the micarta inserts on the scales give the knife a refined look.

This is a generously sized knife, produced in limited quantities between the 1970s and 1980s. The numbered examples bearing engravings such as the patent number 4148140 are now highly sought-after collector's items of great economic value.

The “Extrema Ratio Sethlans” is a fixed blade utility knife designed to handle a wide range of situations, suitable for survival, bushcraft, prepping, but also as a backup blade. The Sethlans is available in two versions with two different types of steel.

The Black version uses D2 steel, heat and cryogenically treated to 60 HRC, which has a high regrindability even with makeshift tools. To give greater hardness and resistance, the blade is coated with the new Teflon-based product “EXP DARK” offered by Extrema Ratio.

The knife comes with G10 scales featuring the ergonomic design characteristic of Extrema Ratio handles. They can be removed to reveal the skeletonized structure of the knife, which allows for maximum lightness with minimum thickness. For lovers of extreme customization, the full-tang structure allows the handle to be coated with paracord.

The sheath is made of a lightweight, minimalist Kydex. It can be disassembled and adapted for both left- and right-handed users. The addition of an optional belt clip allows the knife to be positioned either vertically or horizontally and makes the sheath much more versatile than the textile version. It also comes with a mini pouch with a M.O.L.L.E. system containing a double-sided sharpening stone and a firesteel for lighting fires.

EOS Prawn – The first friction folder by EOS
The Prawn marks EOS's debut in the world of friction folders, offering a compact and robust solution for everyday use. Featuring a flamed titanium handle and CPM-S35VN sintered steel blade, it combines robustness and exclusive design.

Although it does not have a blade lock, the adjustable washer system allows you to keep the blade in the open or closed position by adjusting the tension. Its compact size makes it ideal for carrying in your pocket, backpack, or tactical bag.

Satre is a small, lightweight and extremely durable fixed-blade knife. Given its characteristics, it finds use in a wide range of disciplines and uses ranging from survival activities, bushcraft or as an element of an EDC (Every Day Carry) kit.

It was designed in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, Master Advanced F.I.S.S. (Italian Federation of Sport and Experimental Survival) instructor.

In Neck Knife mode, through the use of a 550 paracord lanyard, it can be held around the neck while keeping the knife upright with the handle facing down. Metal eyelets on the sheath made of pre-shaped Kydex allow for the attachment of both the lanyard and accessory holder.

The full-tang skeletonized design, allows the knife to be customized using Paracord as a handle covering

The Black S600 version uses Böhler S600 steel. This steel is used in industrial manufacturing to make metalworking tools and in mold making.

Satre S600 is hardened and cryogenically treated, thus achieving an exceptional hardness of as much as 64 HRC. This gives it great wear resistance and the ability to guarantee a long edge cutting edge.
