CAS Knives is the brand of Argentine brothers Claudio, Ariel, and Marcelo Sobral, artisans specializing in custom knives.

Claudio, who has been passionate about weapons since he was young, started working in a weapons factory at the age of 16, acquiring skills in forging and metalworking. The blade is made of Böhler M390 steel, heat-treated to 61 HRC. Thanks to a powder metallurgical process, this material ensures high cutting efficiency, excellent wear resistance and remarkable protection from oxidation. EXTREMA RATIO, an official supplier to the Comsubin, reinterprets this age-old tradition with ESTREMA, a tactical battle axe developed for the G.O.I. (Naval Operational Incursors Group).

With a state-of-the-art design, ESTREMA combines the strength and speed of the historic weapon with technological innovation, offering a versatile and reliable tool for the most demanding missions. Suitable as both a tactical combat tool and a breacher tool, ESTREMA is designed to meet any challenge. The name “ESTREMA” expresses the nature of this model: our most extreme product, the result of our boldest manufacturing experience.

ESTREMA is made of Böhler N690 steel with 54 HRC hardness and dark stone finish. The G10 material handle offers two modes of use: grasping the end section of the handle provides the traditional grip, while a narrower grip encourages close use. The tang, in its end section, can be used as a burglary tool and for cutting and opening metal sheets. In addition, the tapering allows the axe to be used as a lever or crowbar.

ESTREMA can be equipped with a hammer (hammering mass) made of hardened and tempered carbon steel, which engages and disengages from the axe's pike via a snap mechanism with a safety catch to prevent accidental disengagement. This solution, the first of its kind applied in this context, makes the axe even more versatile. The rear hammer is an optional accessory that can be purchased separately.

ESTREMA comes in an innovatively designed airtight technical case, inside of which is also a Kydex sheath and belt clip.

The Kydex sheath, which is ambidextrous, is designed to offer different carrying modes and provide numerous interface options with the operator's equipment. FAT BOY is the strongest fixed-blade knife ever produced by Extrema Ratio. This is the first knife produced from N690Co steel (58HRC) with a thickness of as much as 8.6mm. The total weight of this model is 1kg.

The blade, which features a full flat rounding, has a special tip structure that not only combines the ability to penetrate with the possibility of use as a wedge, but at the same time allows the main cutting edge to be safeguarded. Its shape and width also enable it to dig small holes in the ground in emergency situations.

The back, which is thick and flat at the end, gives the tool more mass and beating surface useful for hammering and planting stakes.
