The Fox FX-654 CR Billao fixed-blade knife represents a contemporary reinterpretation of an iconic historical creation, a tribute to the famous "Billato" model employed by Italian Africa Police (PAI) personnel between the 1930s and 1940s. Fox Knives has put considerable effort into designing and making the Billao knife, keeping the original appeal of the design intact while at the same time taking advantage of the latest discoveries in materials science and current manufacturing technologies to improve its strength, quality and durability.

Questo progetto, patrocinato dal COFS (Comando Operativo Forze Speciali) nella persona del Gen.Bertolini, era gia stato suggerito da alcuni collezionisti di armi bianche d'epoca.
Il restyling del famoso "Pugnale da paracadutista assaltatore mod.1939", un importante pezzo di storia militare italiana.
Il coltello, pur mutuando la linea, la struttura e le proporzioni dell'originale, è stato irrobustito, arricchito di modifiche funzionali e realizzato con materiali a specifiche militari moderne.
Inaspettatamente, il risultato di queste poche modifiche è un pugnale estremamente funzionale ed efficace, assolutamente competitivo con i migliori coltelli militari contemporanei.
Il fodero è rigido da caviglia, alla maniera tipica in cui viene portata la baionetta dai paracadutisti italiani.

This project, sponsored by the COFS (Special Forces Operational Command) in the person of Gen. Bertolini, had already been suggested by some collectors of vintage white weapons.
The restyling of the famous “paratrooper assault dagger mod. 1939,” constitutes an important piece of Italian military history. The knife, while borrowing its line, structure and proportions from the original, has been toughened, enriched with functional modifications and made with materials to modern military specifications.
The result of these few modifications is an extremely functional and effective dagger. The scabbard is ankle-high to be carried as Italian paratroopers usually carry their bayonets. The 39-09 ORDINANCE COFS version is the burnished version with COFS logo and motto, double scabbard, both ankle and parry, and engraved ABS case.
