This exclusive version features a blade made of CPM® SPY27®, a latest-generation steel developed in collaboration with Crucible® Industries and exclusive to Spyderco. An enhanced evolution of VG-10, enriched with cobalt, niobium, nitrogen, and higher amounts of carbon, molybdenum, and vanadium, it offers an extraordinary balance of edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, and ease of resharpening.
The PlainEdge™ blade with a flat edge and satin finish maximizes the qualities of this steel, while the FRN (glass-reinforced nylon fiber) handle, injection molded in the characteristic cobalt blue of the SPY27 family, ensures lightness and strength. The knife features a back lock mechanism and a reversible clip for deep carry, configurable on both sides in tip-up.
