The FOX Gabi EDC FX-451 FG combines the compact and functional design of the Gabi family with a distinctly outdoor-oriented configuration: an OD green G10 handle, black blade and orange-anodized details create an immediately recognizable aesthetic contrast.
The Gabi project was developed as an evolution of the renowned FOX Predator, originally conceived as a robust tactical knife for operational use. FOX preserves its reliability and strength while reinterpreting them in a slimmer, more compact and discreet platform developed specifically for Everyday Carry.
The blade is made from Niolox, hardened to 59-61 HRC, with a reduced thickness of just 2.5 mm. This geometry maintains good structural strength while providing an efficient cutting profile perfectly consistent with the EDC philosophy of the model.
In this version, the blade features the Black Top Shield® surface treatment, which strongly characterizes the appearance of the knife and creates a striking contrast with the OD green handle and orange details.
Opening is handled by the practical thumb stud, while the Crossbar Lock system allows quick and intuitive blade operation. The mechanism can be released without placing the fingers directly in the blade's closing path, making it particularly practical for everyday use.
The OD green G10 handle offers light weight, stability and resistance to regular use. The machined surface also improves grip control without being excessively aggressive during pocket carry.
One of the most distinctive aesthetic features of the FX-451 FG is the use of orange-anodized aluminium details: both the Crossbar Lock control and the standoffs use this finish, creating a particularly effective contrast with the green G10 and black blade.
The equipment is completed by a reversible clip made of AISI 420 stainless steel with Black Idroglider treatment and screws in AISI 303 Black Idroglider, maintaining the technical and dark appearance of the metallic components.
With a 78 mm blade, a thickness of just 2.5 mm and an overall length of 188 mm, the Gabi FX-451 FG offers particularly balanced dimensions for a knife intended for everyday carry.
