The Operator 7 model is huge! TOPS Knives has dared to create an imposing knife with a thick blade and solid handle, creating a balanced tool that excels as a true “workhorse.” At the same time, it retains that classic American combat knife aesthetic, looking as spectacular as it performs.

Made from 8 mm thick 1075 steel, the blade is differentially heat treated: the edge is impact resistant, while the spine is incredibly sturdy. The handle combines sand-colored Micarta on the lower part with black G10 on the upper part, offering optimal grip. Once assembled, the handle is over 2.5 cm thick, shaped to fit perfectly in the user's hand, just like an axe or hatchet handle.

The Silent Hero was designed by Anton Du Plessis, then Head of Operations for the Silent Heroes Foundation Special Interdiction Unit, whose mission was to fight poaching in South Africa. This knife needed to be durable, versatile, and able to withstand field use — requirements that shaped the design of both the blade and the handle. It is built to handle heavy-duty tasks.

Craftsmanship is beautiful because it is varied

The colours of the materials from which the handicrafts are made may vary from those shown in the pictures.

Horn, wood and cornotech are raw materials that by their nature have a marked variability from one supply to another: that's the beauty of fine materials. Add craftsmanship, where the craftsman's hand never makes the same gesture: that's the beauty of fine workmanship. Combine all this and you have a product that is always different and unique. And always different from that unique and unrepeatable product that, necessarily, we have to photograph if we want you to understand what we are talking about and what we are offering you.

This is the strongest (thickest) knife we've ever made. The strength of this 3/8" thick piece of 5160 spring steel is impressive. It has a full handle, covered in tan burlap Micarta grips.

As the name suggests, the 'Lil Roughneck' is very similar to the tough dudes who do the hard, heavy work of oil rigs. The term Roughneck is now a commonly known term associated with rough and tough guys.

Roughnecks are strong-willed, hardworking, and keep on 'hanging in'. With that in mind... this is definitely a special knife for a special boy.

The M-PAT was created by U.S. military service member Seth Brown and was designed specifically for fighter jet crews. Its slim profile and sturdy size are designed it specifically so that it can be carried on the safety vest or otherwise at the top of the torso in order to cause as little discomfort as possible while in the flight deck. The original purpose of the Silent Hero knife was to provide a medium-sized tool for use by an interdiction unit specializing in fighting rhino poachers in Africa. It is an excellent design that has served many people on different continents. Over time, Anton (the designer) realized that he did not always need such a large knife strapped to his hip.

This is where the Silent Hero 4 was born. The handle and blade shape of the full-sized knife were perfect for a variety of tasks. By reducing them, you get a knife that is much easier to carry as an EDC, but still long enough to handle most cutting tasks. The appearance of this smaller version is basically the same, but there are some differences. The blade is a bit thinner, the finish is Sniper Gray Cerakote (instead of Black River Wash) and it comes with a Kydex sheath instead of leather. So if you are looking for a blade to match your Silent Hero or simply prefer a blade length of about 4" instead of 6", the new Silent Hero 4 will be an excellent addition to your collection!

The Rocky Mountain Spike is the result of several months of testing and fine-tuning in the field. The original design was to flank or add a large knife, such as a TOPS Machete or Power Eagle, to offer the user a variety of other applications on smaller projects. The size and steel mass of large knives certainly have their place. However, every once in a while a situation arises where one wishes to have a smaller knife, and particularly one with a narrow blade.

After using and abusing the prototypes in the field, those who have tested the small Rocky Mountain have seen a wide variety of cutting, scraping, splitting, EDC, and separating tasks for which this tool can be used effectively.

We now believe that the Rocky Mountain Spike is an excellent stand-alone toolfor hikers, bikers, campers, boaters, weekend outdoor enthusiasts, and long trips. It can be worn on your belt or kept in your backpack, boot or any other convenient place. Whether it is for general outdoor activities, at work or at home, this is the tool for you.

The Silent Hero was designed by Anton Du Plessis, who is the Chief of Operations for the Specialized Interdiction Unit of the Silent Heroes Foundation. His task is to combat the poaching crisis in South Africa. This knife has to be durable, versatile, and able to fill Anton's needs in the field, which affected the design of the blade and the handle. It will definitely hold up to hard use. And with a weight of only 12 oz, you'll be able to use the knife without getting fatigued too quickly.

There is a lanyard hole in the handle along with another in the finger guard. This is meant to allow the user to add a safety cord in order to improve the grip on the handle, which already allows for a solid grip. The finger-guard hole can also be used to assist in lashing to a spear when the situation warrants it.

There is a finger choil up into the blade to give you the ability to choke up and execute precise, fine cuts. The drop point design makes this knife great for slicing and gives the tip extra strength. So this knife will be a great knife for bushcraft, survival, and tactical purposes.

The black leather sheath is durable and looks great paired with this knife. The Silent Hero is held in place with a single snap loop that curls around the finger guard.

This slender-shaped knife with a curved handle derives from ancient models used by the shepherds of Abruzzo.
