Kukri - Gurkha Army

Nepal's national weapon and its Gurkha warriors are distinguished by their sharp curved blade in the lathe and the weight shift towards the tip that allows very effective gaiters. The grip is straight, no guard. Characteristic is the ricotta (kauri) and the leather sheath covered with two small knives (karda and chakmak).

TECHNICAL NOTES FOR ENTHUSIASTS:
The combination of 1000/6000 grits allows for balanced sharpening progression: 1000 is ideal for restoring the edge profile and correcting micro-chips, while 6000 allows for a fine finish that improves cutting ability and smoothness without compromising edge durability.

The 15° and 17° angle guides reproduce the geometries commonly used in kitchen knives and high-performance knives, providing a constant and repeatable reference. The stable base and water control promote smooth strokes and uniform pressure, key elements for achieving a symmetrical, continuous, and technically correct edge.

Based on the best-selling Precision Adjust knife sharpener, the Precision Adjust ELITE is an angle-adjustable knife sharpening system with seven abrasive grits that offers precision and repeatability for sharpening enthusiasts who want the best in hand sharpening.

Sharpening angles can be adjusted from 15° to 30° in 1° increments to suit a wide range of kitchen, outdoor and EDC knives. Supplied with diamond grit plates and a fine ceramic for repairing, sharpening and polishing to an incredibly sharp edge.
