The Operator 7 model is huge! TOPS Knives has dared to create an imposing knife with a thick blade and solid handle, creating a balanced tool that excels as a true “workhorse.” At the same time, it retains that classic American combat knife aesthetic, looking as spectacular as it performs.

Made from 8 mm thick 1075 steel, the blade is differentially heat treated: the edge is impact resistant, while the spine is incredibly sturdy. The handle combines sand-colored Micarta on the lower part with black G10 on the upper part, offering optimal grip. Once assembled, the handle is over 2.5 cm thick, shaped to fit perfectly in the user's hand, just like an axe or hatchet handle.

The Silent Hero was designed by Anton Du Plessis, then Head of Operations for the Silent Heroes Foundation Special Interdiction Unit, whose mission was to fight poaching in South Africa. The SHIN is one of the largest folders in the Rockstead catalog and showcases all the typical and characteristic elements of the brand: aluminum handle with a pearl-radiant design, hardened anodization at 400 Vickers, and an insert of high-quality stingray leather (Samekawa).

This is a durable knife with strong cutting capabilities that maintains its edge for a long time. Even when used for rigorous cuts, the blade glides securely thanks to its particular sharpening.

The HIGO-MH-DLC folder features a 3.5-inch YXR7 blade with DLC coating and Micarta handle. The incredible mirror finish is achieved by heat treating the blade and gradually grinding by hand with wet and dry sandpaper of 400, 600, 800, 1,200 and 2,000. The HIGO-MH-DLC comes with a black leather belt case with a slot to hold the included torx wrench.

This is the strongest (thickest) knife we've ever made. The strength of this 3/8" thick piece of 5160 spring steel is impressive. It has a full handle, covered in tan burlap Micarta grips.

The M-PAT was created by U.S. military service member Seth Brown and was designed specifically for fighter jet crews. The original purpose of the Silent Hero knife was to provide a medium-sized tool for use by an interdiction unit specializing in fighting rhino poachers in Africa. It is an excellent design that has served many people on different continents. Over time, Anton (the designer) realized that he did not always need such a large knife strapped to his hip.

This is where the Silent Hero 4 was born. The handle and blade shape of the full-sized knife were perfect for a variety of tasks. By reducing them, you get a knife that is much easier to carry as an EDC, but still long enough to handle most cutting tasks. The appearance of this smaller version is basically the same, but there are some differences. The blade is a bit thinner, the finish is Sniper Gray Cerakote (instead of Black River Wash) and it comes with a Kydex sheath instead of leather. So if you are looking for a blade to match your Silent Hero or simply prefer a blade length of about 4" instead of 6", the new Silent Hero 4 will be an excellent addition to your collection!

The Rocky Mountain Spike is the result of several months of testing and fine-tuning in the field. The original design was to flank or add a large knife, such as a TOPS Machete or Power Eagle, to offer the user a variety of other applications on smaller projects. The size and steel mass of large knives certainly have their place. However, every once in a while a situation arises where one wishes to have a smaller knife, and particularly one with a narrow blade.

After using and abusing the prototypes in the field, those who have tested the small Rocky Mountain have seen a wide variety of cutting, scraping, splitting, EDC, and separating tasks for which this tool can be used effectively.

We now believe that the Rocky Mountain Spike is an excellent stand-alone toolfor hikers, bikers, campers, boaters, weekend outdoor enthusiasts, and long trips. This knife blade is convex on both sides in the tradition of the highly praised Japanese sword. This shape is both sharp and strong, and can still slice cleanly through a sheet of paper even after the punishment of chopping and cutting through dried bamboo. Using this special blade shape is an excellent way of allowing an edge to be thick without sacrificing any of its sharpness. This knife is of preeminent sharpness. This is a durable knife with strong cutting capabilities that will last for a long time. Even when used for rigorous cutting, the blade will not bite or catch thanks to its convex shape. Other knives will often bite or catch, and may acquire nicks if pulled out suddenly.

The Silent Hero was designed by Anton Du Plessis, who is the Chief of Operations for the Specialized Interdiction Unit of the Silent Heroes Foundation. His task is to combat the poaching crisis in South Africa. This knife has to be durable, versatile, and able to fill Anton's needs in the field, which affected the design of the blade and the handle. It will definitely hold up to hard use. And with a weight of only 12 oz, you'll be able to use the knife without getting fatigued too quickly.

There is a lanyard hole in the handle along with another in the finger guard. This is meant to allow the user to add a safety cord in order to improve the grip on the handle, which already allows for a solid grip. The finger-guard hole can also be used to assist in lashing to a spear when the situation warrants it.

There is a finger choil up into the blade to give you the ability to choke up and execute precise, fine cuts. The drop point design makes this knife great for slicing and gives the tip extra strength. So this knife will be a great knife for bushcraft, survival, and tactical purposes.

The black leather sheath is durable and looks great paired with this knife. The Silent Hero is held in place with a single snap loop that curls around the finger guard.

The Silent Hero is a great design and a very versatile blade. It is large enough that it can be used to chop, but is also still small enough to complete most of the tasks you can do or want to do with a smaller knife.
