The Böker Plus The Dace is an agile, fast, and incredibly versatile pocket knife. Conceived by designer and avid fisherman Joe Mangiafico, this new project draws inspiration from the fish from which it takes its name, reinterpreting its slender silhouette in an elegant and functional form.

Designed to move confidently through the “waters” of everyday EDC, The Dace excels at cutting cardboard, rope, and packaging, without sacrificing precision on fish and meat. The drop-point blade with ball bearing opening, made of Nitro-V with high edge retention and corrosion resistance, snaps decisively when the flipper is activated, while the liner lock remains perfectly integrated into the flat gray 6061-T6 aluminum handle.

Iridescent blue anodized details—such as the tip-up clip, flat pivot screw, and handle screws—add a distinctive touch. The pronounced stonewash finish, non-slip jimping on the blade spine, and decorative ricasso complete a knife that combines style and performance.

American master knife maker Lucas Burnley embodies the Japanese concept of Kihon with the design of the Böker Plus Kihon DC. The term Kihon represents the fundamental principles and basic techniques of Japanese martial arts, which Burnley translates into a solid, essential, and highly functional everyday knife.

The satin-finished drop-point blade in Nitro-V, a steel known for its excellent edge retention and high corrosion resistance, opens extremely smoothly thanks to the ball bearing and removable thumb stud, while the practical slide-lock crossbar lock ensures intuitive, safe, and reliable unlocking.

The high-strength aluminum handle, with its characteristic square milling, guarantees ergonomics, balance, and comfort in everyday use. Elegant aesthetic details are provided by the blue anodized rings on the blade pivot screw, the main handle screw, and the thumb stud.

The design is completed by a lanyard hole and a reversible wire clip for tip-up carry, offering versatility and different carrying options.

Despite its bewitching magic, the Italian knife designer stays true to its tactical line and keeps the pocket knife in a muted black color.

The ball-bearing-opening blade, made of Nitro-V steel with an austere black stonewash finish can be operated either in flipper or with the generous thumb opening, while the push-button lock ensures intuitive knife release.

Pronounced finger recesses, fine texture on the G10 handle grips and a thumb recess on the back of the blade ensure a secure grip at all times and a high level of safety at work, even in the most adverse conditions.
