This specific 2008 Special Edition version stands out for its less common configuration, lacking a protective coating. A choice that at the time favored a more “bare and functional” approach, now particularly appreciated by the most experienced enthusiasts.
For many collectors and users, the SARsquatch represents one of those models that, during its production run, were difficult to find and even harder to purchase. An iconic piece from an era when Busse operated with limited availability and extremely high demand.
At the heart of the SARsquatch is the famous INFI steel, a proprietary alloy developed in-house by Busse, the specific composition details of which have been deliberately kept confidential over time.
In practice, INFI is recognized for: High resilience, suitable for intensive and heavy-duty use; Corrosion resistance superior to the average for non-stainless steels; Good edge retention, with ease of maintenance.
These qualities have helped build the brand’s reputation, making Busse models practical tools for real-world use.

The Woodsman version of the H.E.F.T. 4 combines premium materials and practical functionality in a compact 4" format. The Santos wood handle offers a natural, solid, and refined grip, while the Sleipner steel blade ensures an excellent balance between toughness, durability, and edge retention.The drop-point profile with a high bevel ensures great versatility of use, from precision work to the most demanding outdoor activities. The handle design, clean and free of sharp edges, is engineered to accommodate different grips without tiring the hand.
The set is completed by a leather sheath, ideal for carrying on a belt and perfectly in line with the outdoor spirit of the Woodsman version.

We don't know where your next expedition will take you, but one thing's for sure: there's nothing more important than reliable, quality gear. In designing our flagship P500, we combined the seemingly incompatible. We ground the high-quality Swedish Sleipner steel blade at two different angles. Near the handle is a high sharpness suitable for normal cutting and finer work, while the front has a very durable low, bellied sharpness that shifts the knife's center of gravity significantly toward the tip allowing you to use it on hardwoods and materials with great power. For safe and controlled work, the back of the "five hundred" handle also widens significantly which, in combination with the grippy G10 composite surface, forms a secure and comfortable grip.
