* Checked and certified by our internal laboratoryThe SOG Recon Government S21 is an extremely rare variant of the Government model, produced between the 1990s and early 2000s, when SOG was among the world reference brands in outdoor and military cutlery. This version stands out for its dark blade finish.
Unlike the standard Government S13 in stainless steel, the Recon Government uses SK-5 carbon steel, required for the gun-blued treatment, not applicable to stainless steels. This makes it a technically different model.
Produced as an alternative variant of the series, today it is considered an extremely rare knife with almost no availability on the collector market.
Technology and materials
SK-5 steel blade with gun-blued finish that reduces reflections and protects the surface. Hardness 57-58 HRC for a good balance between strength and sharpenability. Black Kraton handle for a secure grip.
Solid construction with steel guard and pommel, consistent with the Government series for heavy-duty use.
