The Maserin Gladio Alato was designed to equip the personnel of the 66th Trieste Airborne Infantry Regiment, the only airborne infantry unit in the entire Armed Force, with a dagger that reflects the spirit, symbolism and specific needs of the unit.

To develop the Winged Gladio, the Maniago-based company collaborated with the Centro Formazione Aeromobile (CFA), affiliated with the Trieste Regiment.
