Company profile
The factory business had taken hold of Maniago already in ancient times and had begun to grow and grow into what today is a truly specialized industry especially in knives and cutting tools.
It was in this environment that originated in the 20th century of our company when the then fourteen-year-old Di Bon Giovanni started working in the cutlery industry.
In 1936, John and other associates formed a small company working for third parties for other cutlery.
In 1958, his son Roberto also entered the company.
In 1964, the current Mac Coltellerie was founded that directed production towards classic souvenir and promotional knife.
Subsequently Mac took the first steps in other types of knife thanks to Roberto's sports experience. Around 1978, the first hunting and underwater knives were born. It is at this point that the company begins a diversification process by expanding the production of undercookers and starting to produce nautical, fishing and rescue knives.
With the growth of the company's production, a larger structure became necessary, and in 1984 the Mac moved its doors to the industrial area of Maniago, where it is still today.
In 2003, Matteo, son of Roberto, joined the company, which brought more computerization to the company.
Thanks to a vast range of up to date machines and equipment, Mac Coltellerie develops the entire production process of the company: it does its own molds for plastic molding and cutting of metal details.
This guarantees Mac customers a 100% Made in Italy quality product.
