For almost a decade, Cold Steel® offered a wicked-looking little boot knife called the Culloden®. It was based on the traditional Scottish 'black knife' or 'Skean Dhu' as it is more commonly called in Gaelic, the ancient language of Scotland.

The Caledonian Edge™ features a number of modern variations and refinements over its predecessor. The blade is made of a virtually unbreakable San Mai III® construction and, like the original Skean Dhu, features a thin, sharp point, as sharp as the proverbial needle.
