The Zero Tolerance 0100 is one of the first knives produced by Zero Tolerance, the premium division of Kai USA, which was launched in 2006 to develop professional tools for military personnel, law enforcement, and first responders. The 0100 model was, in fact, one of the first three fixed-blade knives in the original lineup, alongside the 0121 and 0150 models.

The design bears the unmistakable stylistic signature of Ken Onion, the renowned American designer already responsible for numerous successes at Kershaw. The distinctive “S”-curved blade offers an unusual combination of cutting ability, power, and precision, making the ZT0100 suitable for both tactical applications and the most demanding outdoor use.

The Extrema Ratio RAO C is a compact folding knife derived from the iconic RAO II.

Thanks to its design, the RAO C is a tool that, despite its small size, manages to guarantee the same robustness and reliability as its larger counterpart while offering improved portability and handling.

The handle consists of two finely crafted anodized aluminum scales, to which Extrema Ratio applies a hard-anodizing treatment, making the handle more resistant to wear and corrosion.

Two steel frames help increase the handle’s sturdiness to withstand the most demanding uses.

The opening lock mechanism is particularly durable, as it is supplemented by a safety system that transforms it into a true fixed blade. The primary safety on the blade is activated by lifting and lowering the locking pin. To ensure maximum safety for the user, a practical and quick secondary safety has been added, which can be activated simply by moving the locking pin horizontally.

The reversible clip is designed to allow for concealed carry in a pocket, making the knife invisible from the outside.

The blade is made of Böhler N690 steel, hardened to 58 HRC, with the classic Extrema Ratio MIL-C-13924 black finish.

To lighten the steel frames, a laser-cut template based on the RAO C profile was created, which was then used to make a gadget included with the knife.

The M1A1 model is Extrema Ratio's personal interpretation, created to pay homage to the historic folding knife used by the Italian Army.

During World War II, the original knife was part of the British Army's equipment. At the end of the war, thanks to the “Marshall Plan” for European recovery, the Italian Army received some of the weapons and equipment supplied to the Allies during the war, including this multifunctional tool. It was later reproduced in Italy in three modified versions.

Extrema Ratio, to bid farewell to this historic and renowned knife, presents a final exclusive version, limited to only 130 pieces.

Like its predecessor, the M1A1 LAST CALL is equipped with a can opener, bottle opener, screwdriver, and knot-tying peg. The reversible clip is designed for maximum concealability.

The drop blade, like all the other tools listed above, features Geotech Camo customization, Extrema Ratio's innovative and original camouflage pattern, created using laser engraving.

The locking mechanism used is the tried and tested LINER LOCK. The handle consists of two anticorodal aluminum scales anodized in the brand new Tactical Mud color.

Directly derived from military specifications, this folding knife is designed to replace a fixed blade in the most demanding operational situations. To ensure maximum reliability, extremely robust materials, increased thicknesses, and a solid and secure back lock opening/closing system have been used.

A manual safety lock ensures maximum protection during use, drastically reducing the risk of accidental closure. When inserted in the closed position, it also prevents the knife from being immediately used against the operator in the event of theft.

Materials and workmanship
All components are machined from solid blocks using high-precision CNC machines, while assembly, adjustment, and sharpening are carried out by hand. The blade is made of N690 cobalt stainless steel, known for its high mechanical strength, great cutting ability, edge retention, and excellent corrosion resistance. It has a flat grind and a hardness of 58 HRC.

The scales are made of Anticorodal, an aluminum alloy that is highly resistant to stress and oxidation. The tang, made of hardened N690, acts as an effective emergency glass breaker. Screws, pins, and clips are made of burnished stainless steel, while the blade, lever, and tang are protected by Testudo treatment, which is highly resistant to abrasion and oxidation. The scales are black anodized.

Japanese steel meets Italian excellence

For this 2020 collaboration, exclusively for Coltelleria Collini, we decided to offer a series of best sellers produced by Extrema Ratio. These knives are made using the renowned San Mai steel produced by Japan’s Takefu Steel. Specifically, we used carbon-rich V-Toku2 at 62/63HRC for the central core and stainless SUS410 for the outer layers, resulting in superior cutting performance, penetration, edge retention, ease of sharpening, and at the same time excellent corrosion resistance and increased resilience due to the laminated structure.

The laminated steel – imported into Italy by Collini Steel directly from Japan’s Takefu Steel – is based on the age-old Japanese sword-making tradition. As early as the 1100s, Japanese blacksmiths were combining different metals to craft Katana swords with extraordinary cutting power, resistance, and flexibility. This revolutionary technique allowed Samurai swords to survive through centuries and become among the most fascinating human-made artifacts. The “Extrema Ratio Sethlans” is a fixed blade utility knife designed to handle a wide range of situations, suitable for survival, bushcraft, prepping, but also as a backup blade. The Sethlans is available in two versions with two different types of steel.

The Black version uses D2 steel, heat and cryogenically treated to 60 HRC, which has a high regrindability even with makeshift tools. To give greater hardness and resistance, the blade is coated with the new Teflon-based product “EXP DARK” offered by Extrema Ratio.

The knife comes with G10 scales featuring the ergonomic design characteristic of Extrema Ratio handles. They can be removed to reveal the skeletonized structure of the knife, which allows for maximum lightness with minimum thickness. Satre is a small, lightweight and extremely durable fixed-blade knife. Given its characteristics, it finds use in a wide range of disciplines and uses ranging from survival activities, bushcraft or as an element of an EDC (Every Day Carry) kit.

It was designed in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, Master Advanced F.I.S.S. (Italian Federation of Sport and Experimental Survival) instructor.

In Neck Knife mode, through the use of a 550 paracord lanyard, it can be held around the neck while keeping the knife upright with the handle facing down. Metal eyelets on the sheath made of pre-shaped Kydex allow for the attachment of both the lanyard and accessory holder.

The full-tang skeletonized design, allows the knife to be customized using Paracord as a handle covering

The Black S600 version uses Böhler S600 steel. This steel is used in industrial manufacturing to make metalworking tools and in mold making.

Satre S600 is hardened and cryogenically treated, thus achieving an exceptional hardness of as much as 64 HRC. This gives it great wear resistance and the ability to guarantee a long edge cutting edge.

Extrema Ratio has applied its rigorous military standards to a series of professional kitchen knives.

The blade is made of tested BOHLER N690 steel, enriched with chromium, vanadium, molybdenum, and cobalt, hardened to 58HRC. The handle is made of Forprene, an elastomer that meets NATO standards for resistance to extreme conditions and is fully removable from the blade, allowing for thorough cleaning and maintenance.

Each knife comes with its own sheath, also derived from military equipment. While not designed to meet hygiene regulations, it ensures safe transport of the extremely sharp blade and protects it from impacts that could reduce its efficiency. MF stands for Medium Folder. This line of knives fits in between the Basic Folders series and the Heavy Folders series. The typical mechanism of the series is the LINER-LOCK. The overall structure is sturdy.

All knives in the MF series have a rear glass breaker. They also feature the innovation of the adjusting counterscrew at the blade attachment stud. By removing the counterscrew, the center pin can be tightened or loosened at will, so as to achieve the desired smoothness of opening. It will be sufficient to re-lock the pivot screw with the counterscrew to secure the adjustment.

The BC (Belt Cutter) version features the rear belt cutter with an easily available and replaceable industrial cutter blade. In addition, a slotted screwdriver is inserted inside the grip to allow adjustment and calibration of firearm optics.

The Forprene handle with threaded tang lock makes the knife solid and well-balanced. The sheath, M.O.L.L.E. compatible, is made of shock-absorbing nylon with a conical guide for quick insertion and extraction and a system that prevents shaking noises, it is equipped with a two-button safety flap, a thigh with anti-rotation rubber reinforcement and an ambidextrous reversible safety: simply pressing the trigger unlocks the blade.

Dear Friend,
I am Paolo Bozzo and many times ml have found myself in unpleasant, pericolase and difficult situations. Designing a knife and testing it just a few afternoons in the woods is quite different than designing one trying to solve all those survival problems I have encountered in the last 25 years, both In ltaly and abroad. Mud, water, dirt, grease, blood, fatigue, night use, weak hand, limited space, trajectories, physical deficits, heat, cold, transportation, speed and much, much more...these are just some of the tests a good design must pass.

Here are some of the reasons for the WF4 Rough Wolf design.

1. Balance: it is fondamenlal that the center of gravity is shifted forward. beyond the heel, such that it decreases, i.e., saves energy when delivering the blow. one must always have the feeling that the knife falls forward.

2. Beating mass: 65% of the weight of the whole knife is between the first and second 3rd of the blade, giving maximum beating capacity in penetrating.

3. Cutting edge: due to the main core in the shape of an esse. the cutting edge is lower than the fingers of the handle, with the result that in the dynamics of the fendenle and biomechanics of the arm, the force expressed is never attenuated; especially never before the impact of the same on the object to be cut.

4. Blade height: compared to other blades, it has a significantly higher ability to dig holes.

s. Handling: excellent the ability to use the Wp4 for both coarse and precision work, this thanks to the ability to put the hand before the guard, giving absolute mastery of the blade despite its size. This is thanks to the large heel where the index finger can be inserted and the convenient thumb rest. It is also possible to do this while wearing tactical gloves.

6. Back: the inclination is reversed for 2 reasons; 1st to give forward beating mass, 2nd not to stress the wrist during use as chopping, a normal knife arrives at an angle on the object, devastating the point of impact being slight in thickness. This can only be avoided by straining the thumb-side wrist to tilt so that the back of the knife falls perpendicular on the object. The wp4 does not have this problem; it does not stress the wrist because the back of the blade already falls perpendicular to the object to be beaten.

7. Bevel: it is very high, has impressive penetration capacity.

8. Milling cutter: 5 millings placed on the blade plane for holding the knife with two hands when handling animal hides or for special uses during bushcrafting.

9. Grip: it is designed to decrease the possibility of losing the blade and avoid opening of the phalanges during pmlong use or in situations of prolonged physical deficit. Improved, anti-slip grip with internally concave Gauntlets to accommodate a Micro SurvivalKit.

As for the scabbard, I believe it is as important as the blade. I proceeded to design it and recommend its qualities; the main feature I wanted to put in designing it was the multi-positioning of the same: in particular, placing it at will on one's body or equipment facilitates the possibility of use.

This quality is particularly appreciated by military personnel, who are known to have special technical and logistical needs. For this purpose we have used in addition to Kydex the Keyblock closure, as well as the many holes along the perimeter; also safe for airdrop it has the possibility of use and positioning by both Right and Left handed operators.
