The Quebec series by Pohl Force is an iconic mission knife that remained at the top of the wish list of founder and designer Dietmar Pohl for several decades. In 2014, Pohl Force received exclusive permission from the original manufacturer to reinterpret the base design.

Originally developed as a Ground Forces Combat & General Purpose Weapon, this multi-purpose knife was designed for the United States Marine Corps in the early 1950s. Although never officially adopted, it clearly proved its capabilities during the Vietnam War, especially in the hands of U.S. special forces. Nearly 70 years after its first design, the modern Pohl Force Quebec Two perfectly combines classic old-school styling with high-tech modern manufacturing.

Designer Dietmar Pohl further revised the original concept, expanding the knife’s functional range. The blade of the Quebec Two is made from D2 tool steel instead of Sleipner, offering higher carbon and chromium content, significantly improving cutting performance and corrosion resistance. The blade has also been optimized with a cutting edge extended by 10 mm and an added false edge on the spine.

The Pohl Force Prepper System is integrated into the handle, allowing survival items to be securely stored inside. A tool for opening the handle screws is included. The advanced Pohl Force sheath system significantly enhances usability. ROK, part of the SOLID knife family, is made from a single piece of aluminum or titanium and introduces two major innovations. The first is the new H.WAYL System, a LionSteel patent that allows the clip to disappear inside the handle when the knife is in use, reappearing only when needed. The Model 16 was designed to meet the demand for an almost indestructible multi-purpose knife, including intensive use in salt water (careful cleaning and maintenance is however recommended). A special wax-impregnated sheath is included.

7″ (17.8cm) stainless steel blade with 6.5mm thickness. The top of the blade is slightly serrated to allow easy thumb placement. Black Micarta handle. Extra-heavy 7/8″ (2.2cm) wide tang that extends through a channel in the handle, securely fixed with epoxy.

ROK, which is part of the SOLID knives family obtained from a single piece of aluminum or titanium, has two important innovations:

* the introduction of the new H.WAYL System; this is a LionSteel patent that allows the clip to disappear inside the handle during use of the knife. The clip can only appear when needed.

* the introduction of NFC technology in the knife box. With this system, the user no longer has to search for product information, but the knife itself makes it available: maintenance instructions, in-depth information on the production process, or more general information on LionSteel.

As was already the case for the TRE model, the user has the option of removing the flipper, thus opting for a more traditional two-handed blade opening. The ROK also features the Rotoblock safety system and a steel tip on the end of the blade lock bar: this prevents possible breakages or wear caused by the blade itself.

This is a smaller version of Bo Randall's original knife, made in the Scagel knife style. 12.2 cm blade made of 4.5 mm thick stainless steel. This size and shape are popular with outdoor activity experts worldwide. It has a nickel silver guard and back cap and a handle made of authentic Indian deer antler. It weighs about 168 grams and comes with a brown leather sheath.
