Expat has traveled thousands of miles around the Third World, sometimes with the ESEE team, but always with ESEE products. From armored caravans in Colombia and expeditions to the Himalayas, to earthquakes in El Salvador and hunting in the Balkans, ESEE knives have been a constant companion. He has been a student, translator and instructor for Randall's Adventure Training. After over 40 years of service in the US Army Special Forces, Curtis Iovito and Mark Carey founded Spartan Blades LLC in North Carolina. Curtis, who had been designing knives for friends in the special forces, and Mark, who worked with military and tactical equipment in the "Green Berets," decided to combine their skills and passion to create innovative and functional knives using the highest quality materials, entirely made in the United States.
