The C70 A.T.R. (At The Ready) embodies the essence of a high-performance tactical folder. Awarded “Knife of the Year 2003” by Knives Illustrated, this model showcases the most advanced technological solutions developed by Spyderco.The handle, precision-machined from a block of satin-finished stainless steel, is lightened by a series of holes that reduce weight and serve as tactile reference points for quick grip changes. The same holes are replicated on the contoured clip, ensuring balance and consistency in indexing.
The ends of the handle widen into a generous finger choil and a pinky rest, ensuring a stable grip in all conditions. The Compression Lock, fully integrated into the titanium scale, offers maximum strength and is rated for heavy-duty use and MBC applications.
The VG-10 blade, hollow-ground sharp, features a non-sharp swedge and a profile that combines a solid point with excellent penetration and cutting ability. Above the classic Spyderco hole is the Cobra Hood, which naturally guides the thumb during quick opening and acts as a control platform when the knife is in use.
The clip is configurable for both right and left tip-up carry thanks to the pre-drilled holes.
