The construction combines an aluminum handle with steel liners, creating a rigid frame with tight tolerances and consistent mechanical response even under stress.

The Crossbar Lock system ensures safety and reliability at every stage of operation, while maintaining fully ambidextrous handling. Internal bearings ensure a smooth, repeatable opening action, free of jamming, designed to feel natural even without active attention.

The ergonomics are designed for extended carry: the compact profile reduces bulk without compromising the grip, while the ambidextrous clip allows for discreet and customizable carry. The weight remains low for the category, with a balanced distribution that does not feel fragile.

Japanese steel meets Italian excellence

For this 2020 collaboration, exclusively for Coltelleria Collini, we decided to offer a series of best sellers produced by Extrema Ratio. These knives are made using the renowned San Mai steel produced by Japan’s Takefu Steel. Specifically, we used carbon-rich V-Toku2 at 62/63HRC for the central core and stainless SUS410 for the outer layers, resulting in superior cutting performance, penetration, edge retention, ease of sharpening, and at the same time excellent corrosion resistance and increased resilience due to the laminated structure.

Model Col Moschin Compact: this First Production Run was limited to 15 numbered units, from 1 to 15.

The lethal efficiency of the COL MOSCHIN knife, now in compact version. Comes with a rigid belt sheath and BELT-CLIP. The sheath can be mounted horizontally, vertically, or at a 45° angle.

The laminated steel – imported into Italy by Collini Steel directly from Japan’s Takefu Steel – is based on the age-old Japanese sword-making tradition. As early as the 1100s, Japanese blacksmiths were combining different metals to craft Katana swords with extraordinary cutting power, resistance, and flexibility. This revolutionary technique allowed Samurai swords to survive through centuries and become among the most fascinating human-made artifacts. Applied to modern metallurgy, this tradition now yields advanced steels already used in knife-making by brands like Fallkniven, Cold Steel, Mcusta, Kai, Sog, Zwilling, Rockstead, etc.

San Mai Steel Features: A combination of different metals bonded together to create a composite with amplified properties:

This special edition in 250 pieces, proposed on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the brand, maintains the shape of the original, but with materials and finishes corresponding to the current production.

The K1 is equipped with a modified spear point profile blade, characterized by a tip that combines the 40° "tanto" profile with the more traditional European one, creating a sharp but very solid hybrid which, with the false false edge, makes it particularly effective in jab. The bevel is high, allowing for a very effective cutting angle.

The blade is immediately recognizable by the fenestration at the heel, which allows for considerable lightening without compromising its strength. It is made of Böhler N690 steel, with heat treatments that bring its hardness to 58 HRC for the best combination of edge hold and resistance. The finish is satin with flat grinding.

The handle, in anodized Anticorodal alloy, compared to the original presents the lightening on the sides that make the Extrema Ratio knives immediately distinguishable, but maintains the arched shape and the lateral "bellies" of the K1, offering an excellent grip both in the "saber" than in the "reverse" grip.

The terminal part of the handle curves to form a sort of hook which allows particularly easy and rapid extraction from the scabbard, while the tang protrudes from it with a triangular cusp which acts as a glass breaker with a slot which allows the knife to be equipped of lasso.

The leather scabbard faithfully reproduces the original while maintaining both the qualities of ease and speed of extraction. The carry can take place in an upside-down axillary position, horizontally on the belt or tactically on the thigh.

The K1 equipment is completed with a polypropylene case ‌, complete leather sheath and underarm shoulder strap.

Extrema Ratio S-THIL Black Warfare, a special version of the S-THIL model, is a backup knife with a monolithic structure machined from a single piece of 5 mm thick BOHLER N690 steel, developed in collaboration with the designer Thilo Arnd Schiller. The spear point type blade is hardened to 58 HRC in order to obtain the best balance between edge retention and strength, has a false edge in the upper part which enhances the characteristics of penetration and tip work, and is equipped with a Full length furrow flowing elegantly from blade to grip.

The blade is milled integrally with the knife to enhance its compactness and lightness, maintaining a minimum thickness even with a profile that recalls the classic Extrema Ratio handle. This profile forms two small guards and a comfortable thumb rest in order to prevent the hand from slipping towards the blade. On the end there is a skull crusher with a diamond-shaped tip and a slot that allows you to attach a wrist strap to the knife or to equip the handle with paracord winding.

The special Black Warfare version uses the innovative and original Geotech Camo pattern, created by laser engraving. The molded nylon sheath has been designed to be extremely flat and with very small lateral dimensions, in order to make it as compact as possible. The design of the knife makes it ambidextrous, allowing it to be inserted into the sheath with the cutting edge of the blade to the right or left. The double retention system integral with the sheath is made up of four pressure elements that work only two at a time, depending on right/left use, while in the nylon textile part there is a button that allows you to secure the knife to the sheath . The end of the sheath has a hole that allows you to expel liquids or residues inside. The possibility of applying belt clips, ulticlips, malice clips makes it extremely versatile. It is also possible to hook the sheath to the M.O.L.L.E. system. weaving the paracord lanyard.

The S-thil Black Warfare is supplied in an IP67 certified watertight Polypropylene technical case, with pressurization valve, resistant to atmospheric agents, dust and shocks. Inside there are also the Nylon sheath, the double ULTICLIP and the double grain sharpening plate (ceramic abrasive and synthetic diamond).

HISTORY
The Tengu takes its name from a mythical creature of Japanese folklore that is represented with both human and raven features, they had the reputation of being great warriors and legends say that some founders of martial arts were trained by them.

- It is designed to be used in many different grips, but is especially effective in the reverse grip.

Knives made with the famous San Mai steel produced by the Japanese Takefu Steel. Specifically, we used V-Toku2 carbonaceous at 62 / 63HRC for the central plate and SUS410 stainless steel for the two external plates, in order to guarantee a very high cutting capacity, penetration and sealing of the wire together with an ease of re-sharpening. and maintenance but at the same time the blade has a remarkable resistance to corrosion and an important increase in resilience given by the type of external steel and by the laminated structure.

Col Moschin model: for this First Production Run a run of 11 pieces was produced, numbered from 1 to 11.

In fact, as early as 1100 the expert Japanese blacksmiths combined different materials together to give the Katana swords incredible cutting capabilities combined with a resistance and flexibility previously unknown. It is thanks to this revolutionary construction technique that Samurai swords have been preserved to this day, becoming one of the most fascinating objects made by man. FULCRUM C is the compact version of FULCRUM, it maintains all the characteristics of solidity and robustness and, thanks to the reduced dimensions of the blade (only 110 mm) and the handle, it is easily portable and concealable. The particular situation created in the early years of the 1914/18 war, now mired in increasingly complex and protected trenches and fortifications, favored the formation of men who, little by little, specialized in the coup.

Our assault units, the Arditi, had their dagger. For this new exclusive collaboration with Extrema Ratio we decided to propose a best seller in the world of cutlery, the Shrapnel model. It's a satin blade version but the most important thing is that has been used, for the first time in Italy, the famous Japanese Steel San Mai produced by Takefu Steel. Specifically, we used the CoS (Cobalt Special, considered mechanically superior by 25% compared to the already appreciated VG10) for the central plate and the 420J2 (55 HRC) for the two side plates, in order to have a high cutting capacity, but at the the same time a remarkable resilience and resistance to oxidation.

A First Production Run of 30 pieces has been made.

SHRAPNEL OG is a truly versatile “back up” knife with marked combat qualities. Its leaf-shaped blade is flat ground at a characteristically low angle to a wide, extraordinarily sharp edge. The included hard sheath can be worn vertically, horizontally or obliquely (at a 45° angle). Tthe SHRAPNEL OG hilt design does not include a guard.

Like Japanese swords, clad metal is hard to break or bend, thanks to the toughness as the hard steel part is clad with soft steels.
Easy to work on
Cladded structure is easy to apply on such works as forging, grinding, sharpening or polishing to make a sharp blade.

Proper material combination generates electrical potential difference and it enhances the corrosion resistance on blade edge.

Easy drilling and welding after heat treatment
Though the steel gets harder after heat treatment, the soft steel never loses its softness, enabling the material to be drilled or welded.

Design improvement
Laminated patterns or Damascus patterns appear from basis materials which are bonded with different kinds of metals.

Commissioned and officially adopted in 2002 by the famous 9th Regiment. Raiders "Col Moschin", this model expresses the quintessence of pure combat knife.

Inspired by daggers with asymmetric blade and straight handle but oriented Arditi, from which the Regiment traces its vestiges, it was reworked in a modern way.
The center of gravity is strong backlog, particularly the tip piercing. And 'light, handy and intuitive. Each new intruder receives one, and each new intruder is trained to use it.

All knives of this series have straight handles KRATON from ergonomic design whose shape and size favors besides a solid grip the rapid change of straight handle (Sabre Grip) to upside (Reverse Grip). An Allen screw stainless steel allows the campaign from disassembly for maintenance and lubrication of the through shank increasing the operational life of the knife.

The sheath and 'suitable all'aviolancio and underwater operations and amphibious and is' applicable to the belt or the accoutrements.

Extrema Ratio is proud to present the Culter Venatorius that, so as not to contradict the current address is a technical knife, practical, perhaps a bit 'specialized and that gives a nod to tradition and to the tastes of the most traditionalist hunters who like to do everything yourself.

The Latin motto engraved on the blade reads:

"I am the hunting knife, I am the claw beak and fang of my master. My job is as old as the flesh and blood.", We find that describes significantly the pure essence of the instrument.

We feel to say that if a tool could be capable of humor probably would have added: "It 'a dirty job ... but someone has to do it ...".

The Culter Venatorius, more than a knife, is a complete equipment for slaughtering and skinning of medium and medium-large sized prey, suitable for ungulate hunters.

The kit includes: a knife to slaughter and general use, one skinner provided with cross handle to skin and clean the internal organs the animal, a carver to skin head and snout and a stone with two grains for regrinding of all instruments.

These accessories are contained in the sleeve pocket leather fat-crafted.

The sheath while maintaining the traditional lines, is completely reversible (both the pocket that the passer can be disassembled and applied on the other face of the sheath) and to secure the side which holds the knife has the ambidextrous release. The sheath is handmade by a master saddler leather first-aged choice.

And 'possible to bring the sheath is vertical to the belt connected to the leg, which in a comfortable horizontal position, the shoulder or stopped at the waist with a long belt kit with buckle and snap hooks.

The handle in cocobolo oiled is long enough to allow the use of the knife as a little machete or chopper and thin enough to allow precision cuts.

The blade is in the classic Bohler N690, an excellent steel chrome molybdenum vanadium and cobalt which deserved to become a standard in technical and professional cutlery.

The finish is satin.
