The R.E.O.S. is the operational unit of helicopters in support of special forces composed of personnel specifically trained and equipped to support military activities in any operational context.
The stylized guards of the knife represent the wings present in the heraldic coat of arms of the unit. The steel used is the reliable Bölher N690Co heat treated to 58 HRC. Fiber Reinforced Nylon (FRN) polyamide polymer was chosen for the handle. The hybrid Kydex and fabric sheath is equipped with belt or harness attachment with MOLLE interface system.

A few days after the end of the Second World War one third of the battalion's men remained on the field, but their sacrifice led to the conquest of the battle. The knife in addition to wanting to commemorate an important event of our Armed Forces is the result of a development that has been carefully studied also in the technical aspects, so as to make it suitable for a concrete operational use.
