ROK, part of the SOLID knife family, is made from a single piece of aluminum or titanium and introduces two major innovations. The first is the new H.WAYL System, a LionSteel patent that allows the clip to disappear inside the handle when the knife is in use, reappearing only when needed. 2014 knife created through a collaboration between Fox and Hill Knives that commemorates the ISAF (International Security Forces) and ANSF (Afghan National Security Forces) memorial unveiled Sept. 22, 2013, in Kabul, Afghanistan, to honor fallen military personnel during peacekeeping operations in the country. The monument, with inscriptions in English, Pashtu and Dari, is a tribute to the different nationalities involved in the missions. The unveiling ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the Afghan government, security forces and ISAF, underscoring the value of remembrance and the sacrifices made.

Japanese steel meets Italian excellence

For this 2021 collaboration between Coltelleria Collini of Busto Arsizio and Fox Knives of Maniago, we decided to offer the 609OD Bushman, an outstanding bushcraft knife produced by Fox Knives of Maniago, using high-performance Japanese V-Toku2 Sanmai steel (5mm) from Takefu Steel instead of the D2 steel used in the standard model.

Specifically, we used high-carbon V-Toku2 at 62/63HRC for the central core and stainless SUS410 for the outer layers, ensuring exceptional cutting ability, penetration, and edge retention. At the same time, the blade offers high corrosion resistance and increased toughness due to the laminated structure and external stainless steel.

The laminated steel—imported into Italy by Collini Steel directly from Takefu Steel in Japan—follows the ancient Japanese tradition of crafting legendary Samurai swords. As early as the 1100s, Japanese blacksmiths combined different materials to create Katana swords with incredible cutting power, strength, and flexibility, unmatched at the time. This revolutionary forging technique has allowed Samurai swords to survive to this day as some of the most fascinating objects ever created.

Vintage Fox collector's knife from Maniago - Limited Edition 1997

We present a one-of-a-kind example, the vintage Fox knife from Maniago, produced in 1997 and part of a limited series of only 1000 pieces. This specific knife, numbered 94, comes from a private collection and has been kept in perfect condition, retaining its original beauty and functionality intact.

Production and Origin: Made in Maniago, Italy, in 1997, part of a numbered and limited series (94/1000).
Materials: The blade is made of Damascus steel, composed of 512 hand-forged layers. The handle is made of cocobolo wood, known for its aesthetic and robust qualities.
Packaging and Authenticity: The knife is presented in a wooden box, ideal for storage or display, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Fox's founder, Oreste Frati, which guarantees its originality and quality.
Condition: Retired from a private collection, the knife has been maintained in impeccable condition, a testament to the care and attention of its previous owners.
