The robust Bowie blade, over 17 cm long and 6 mm thick, is suitable for a wide range of applications. To ensure excellent edge retention and blade resilience, the well-known D2 tool steel was selected.

The stonewashed finish creates a scratch-resistant surface and further improves corrosion resistance. A concealed hole at the end of the handle scales allows for the attachment of a lanyard (included).

The Quebec series by Pohl Force is an iconic mission knife that remained at the top of the wish list of founder and designer Dietmar Pohl for several decades. In 2014, Pohl Force received exclusive permission from the original manufacturer to reinterpret the base design.

Originally developed as a Ground Forces Combat & General Purpose Weapon, this multi-purpose knife was designed for the United States Marine Corps in the early 1950s. Although never officially adopted, it clearly proved its capabilities during the Vietnam War, especially in the hands of U.S. special forces. Nearly 70 years after its first design, the modern Pohl Force Quebec Two perfectly combines classic old-school styling with high-tech modern manufacturing.

Designer Dietmar Pohl further revised the original concept, expanding the knife’s functional range. The blade of the Quebec Two is made from D2 tool steel instead of Sleipner, offering higher carbon and chromium content, significantly improving cutting performance and corrosion resistance. The blade has also been optimized with a cutting edge extended by 10 mm and an added false edge on the spine.

The Pohl Force Prepper System is integrated into the handle, allowing survival items to be securely stored inside. A tool for opening the handle screws is included. The advanced Pohl Force sheath system significantly enhances usability. 2014 knife created through a collaboration between Fox and Hill Knives that commemorates the ISAF (International Security Forces) and ANSF (Afghan National Security Forces) memorial unveiled Sept. 22, 2013, in Kabul, Afghanistan, to honor fallen military personnel during peacekeeping operations in the country. The monument, with inscriptions in English, Pashtu and Dari, is a tribute to the different nationalities involved in the missions. The unveiling ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the Afghan government, security forces and ISAF, underscoring the value of remembrance and the sacrifices made.

Japanese steel meets Italian excellence

For this 2021 collaboration between Coltelleria Collini of Busto Arsizio and Fox Knives of Maniago, we decided to offer the 609OD Bushman, an outstanding bushcraft knife produced by Fox Knives of Maniago, using high-performance Japanese V-Toku2 Sanmai steel (5mm) from Takefu Steel instead of the D2 steel used in the standard model.

Specifically, we used high-carbon V-Toku2 at 62/63HRC for the central core and stainless SUS410 for the outer layers, ensuring exceptional cutting ability, penetration, and edge retention. At the same time, the blade offers high corrosion resistance and increased toughness due to the laminated structure and external stainless steel.

The laminated steel—imported into Italy by Collini Steel directly from Takefu Steel in Japan—follows the ancient Japanese tradition of crafting legendary Samurai swords. As early as the 1100s, Japanese blacksmiths combined different materials to create Katana swords with incredible cutting power, strength, and flexibility, unmatched at the time. This revolutionary forging technique has allowed Samurai swords to survive to this day as some of the most fascinating objects ever created.

Vintage Fox collector's knife from Maniago - Limited Edition 1997

We present a one-of-a-kind example, the vintage Fox knife from Maniago, produced in 1997 and part of a limited series of only 1000 pieces. This specific knife, numbered 94, comes from a private collection and has been kept in perfect condition, retaining its original beauty and functionality intact.

Production and Origin: Made in Maniago, Italy, in 1997, part of a numbered and limited series (94/1000).
Materials: The blade is made of Damascus steel, composed of 512 hand-forged layers. The handle is made of cocobolo wood, known for its aesthetic and robust qualities.
Packaging and Authenticity: The knife is presented in a wooden box, ideal for storage or display, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Fox's founder, Oreste Frati, which guarantees its originality and quality.
Condition: Retired from a private collection, the knife has been maintained in impeccable condition, a testament to the care and attention of its previous owners.
