The Busse SARsquatch is one of the most iconic models in the Busse Combat Knife Company’s lineup, a direct expression of the design philosophy developed by Jerry Busse: maximum reliability, uncompromising construction, and proven performance in the field.

This specific 2008 Special Edition version stands out for its less common configuration, lacking a protective coating. A choice that at the time favored a more “bare and functional” approach, now particularly appreciated by the most experienced enthusiasts.

The “LionSTEEL-Emerson ONE” project is back and the L.E.One Mid was created as a compact, ultra-light edition of our original and larger SOLID folding karambit, developed in collaboration with Emerson Design. The SOLID frame-lock handle — a LionSTEEL hallmark — is milled from a single solid piece of Ergal aluminum while the blade is crafted from Bohler M390 steel.

The reversible stainless steel clip can be mounted on the opposite side by screwing in the corresponding square steel post.

A steel insert is positioned at the end of the handle scale where the lock engages, preventing aluminum wear from contact with the blade during opening.

The “LionSTEEL-Emerson ONE” project is back, and L.E.One Mid was created as a compact and super-light edition of our first and largest folding karambit SOLID, developed in collaboration with Emerson Design. The VULPIS series was born out of the need to create a compact, versatile, multi-purpose knife with a modern design that perfectly matches historical products. The inspiration for the creation of this line starts from the DUCA, the name of the typical multi-purpose knife of the people of Maniago, a knife that originated in the second half of the 1800s in Maniago, when hunting knife sharpeners with different sized blades, ivory toothpicks and tweezers for removing thorns were made.

These knives were presented at the 1888 National Exposition in Turin by the Bet Giovanni company, which won a gold medal for the quality of its products. So it was that, most likely, Luigi Amedeo di Savoia, Duke of the Abruzzi, decided to visit one of the company's two stores in Turin, where he saw and ordered the four-bladed multi-purpose knife, which he chose as part of the equipment for the North Pole expedition he commanded in 1899.

The Maserin Gladio Alato was designed to equip the personnel of the 66th Trieste Airborne Infantry Regiment, the only airborne infantry unit in the entire Armed Force, with a dagger that reflects the spirit, symbolism and specific needs of the unit.

To develop the Winged Gladio, the Maniago-based company collaborated with the Centro Formazione Aeromobile (CFA), affiliated with the Trieste Regiment. The blade has a design reminiscent of the classic Gladio, while the handle, typical of military tactical daggers, features a texture that provides an excellent grip.

Given the tactical context in which the unit operates, the dagger has been equipped with additional features for emergencies: there is a slot glass breaker and two holes on the guard that allow the knife to be attached to a pole or other supports.

DOBERMANN IV S600 features a green forprene handle with a glass-breaking tang. It comes with a green cordura thigh sheath, adaptable for both left and right-handed users and compatible with the M.O.L.L.E system.

The third blade, on the back of the first, is the smallest of the 3, it has the function of cutting lines, capable of cutting paracord and aramid material.

The interaction of the main blade with the scalpel allows the operator to make a quick emergency cut to free any injured person from his or her clothing.

maintenance

Proper care will increase the life of the knife, making it easier and safer to work and reduces the consumption of the wire. A few tips:

- Please make sure to put the knives in a dishwasher from hitting other objects as this may damage the blades.

- The knives guaranteed for dishwashers that are not immediately washed in the machine should be rinsed under the tap water to remove the remains of the highly corrosive foods (fats, vinegar, fruit juices).

- Not sure if the knives were more cut to perfection, corrections or sharpen by professionals in the field.
