Laguiole knives, originating from the village of Laguiole in France, date back to the 19th century. First created by Pierre-Jean Calmels in 1829, the knives were used by local shepherds and farmers. The Harsey TT (Tactical Trout) is designed to be a very comfortable and sturdy medium-sized knife for most field tasks and defensive use. The size of the TT makes it easy to carry and handle.

The blade profile provides a clean cut with excellent tip strength. The full tang and handle of the Harsey TT provide neutral balance in the user's hand. The ergonomically shaped, linen Micarta handle provides a comfortable and secure grip when dry or wet. The pommel has a lanyard hole in the center of the angled tip. The TT is an excellent universal fixed blade, well balanced in size, function and feel. In our opinion, one of William Harsey's best designs.

The internationally awarded forge of Laguiole en Aubrac is a benchmark for traditional French craftsmanship.

This traditionally designed Laguiole knife bears the LOG (Laguiole Origine Garantie) quality mark, which means that it was made entirely by hand in Laguiole by a master blacksmith in accordance with the strict quality criteria and LOG production specifications. Depending on the version, it requires between 109 and 216 work steps.

The handle is stabilised by two solid steel hilt bolsters. The left handle bears the traditional shepherd's cross (croix du berger) as decoration. 

The back spring (with the Pilgrim's shell symbol) was forged from a single piece and decorated by hand. The decoration is the unique 'signature' of the master smith, registered with the Prefecture of Puy-de-Dôme. 

The blade uses 67-layer Japanese VG10 rolled steel, manufactured by Takefu Steel.
