Bud Nealy's MCS II System knives are designed to be compact and lightweight, with a focus on low weight. The MCS System, developed in the 1980s, offers great versatility in carrying thanks to a Kydex sheath that can be adapted with five different attachments (included), allowing nine carrying positions. Ambidextrous use of the system is possible.

The MCS System has been improved with the MCS II, which incorporates 3M Dual Lock attachment systems with five times the adhesion strength of classic Velcro. This version further increases versatility and allows transport positions to be configured more quickly. The system offers options for both on-body and off-body carrying.

The Halfbreed Blades HBBLBK01OD is a high-end tactical knife designed to withstand the most extreme conditions. Citadel Knives and Swords is a sword and knife manufacturer based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Despite the country's reputation as an exotic and remote location, the company is easily accessible, located close to the city's international airport. The workshop is modest but houses an impressive range of high-quality Japanese swords and knives.

Founded by Dominique Eluere in the 1990s, Citadel has combined the expertise of French and local craftsmen to produce blades that rival the best in the world. Eluere began by training Cambodian blacksmiths to make French table knives, later evolving into the production of Japanese swords.

The quality of Citadel swords is world renowned, thanks to the use of traditional Japanese techniques and a meticulous manufacturing process. Each katana is heat treated, creating a blade with varying hardness along the edge and spine, a hallmark of true katanas. The hilt is fully encased in high-quality stingray leather, a rarity compared to common panels.

Attention to detail extends to every element, with every component custom-made for each blade. This includes the tsuba (sword guard) and habaki (blade collar), both of which are hand-crafted and fitted, ensuring perfect fit and functionality.

In addition to katanas, Citadel also produces European swords and knives, maintaining the same philosophy of quality and functionality. Production is artisanal, with particular attention to polishing and finishing, often done by hand with sandpaper and whetstones.

Citadel is proud of its Cambodian roots, with local workers looking up to Eluere as a father figure and deeply involved in maintaining the company's high standards.

The "Lurisinca," a traditional knife from Luras in Gallura, owes its name to the Lurese term for a local woman, reflecting the feminine nature of the "razor blade" used. The Gallurese Razor Blade, a typical Sardinian knife resembling a point-less shaving razor, was essential in cork processing, especially for making "quadretti," precursors to cork stoppers. However, this practice has declined due to the economic crisis, forcing many craftsmen to close their shops. The Gallurese Razor Blade, versatile and always at hand, represented an indispensable tool for every daily need.

In some areas of central and southern Italy, it was customary to give knives as engagement or wedding gifts, assigning the knife the task of sanctioning the love bond.

There was a strong identification between man and knife: the lover who gave such a gift to the woman symbolically offered himself, while the gift given to the man could be interpreted as an exhortation to virile valor.

Some specimens of this historical knife also served as protection against the evil eye, featuring the characteristic “dice eyes” on the handle, while the blades were traditionally engraved with decorative and symbolic elements.

The love knives were also indicative of the social class of the family: less wealthy couples, unable to afford very elaborate knives, sanctioned their love with simpler, less worked, and less expensive objects, but identical in values and meanings.

These craftsmanships are distinguished by their classical lineage and their functional quality, which blends well with traditional production techniques and materials used. The blades are hardened to a hardness of about 40 HRC, after which they have been hammered by hand, the back and sides are clad with clay and the thread is retreaded to 60 HRC for excellent cutting, penetration and flexibility . The blade is then polished and sharpened by hand on stone and the knife is finished in every single detail.
