Cast iron teapots were invented in ancient China and later developed by the Japanese who made them both functional and decorative.

A specific treatment to the teapot allows cast iron impurities to be removed, and an additional enameling process protects its interior over the years.

Cast iron teapot magenta enamelled (inside) with internal steel filter.

Pour water at the right temperature for the chosen Tea.

Place the leaves in the filter. Respect the infusion time.

If you use the teapot to boil water, you should remove the filter while boiling and use a flame spreader to be placed between the teapot and the gas flame.

To make the best use of cast-iron teapots and make them last over time, it is advisable to precede the first use with this procedure: pour plenty of boiling water into the teapot, leave it there for a few minutes then throw it away. Repeat this 3-4 times, then dry the teapot with a cloth. Afterwards, it will be sufficient to remember never to wash it with detergent and to dry it immediately with a cloth after washing.

You should also avoid putting the cast iron teapot in contact with oil or salt because it may ruin the inner enamel.

Lo Hobbit - Glamdring, la spada di Gandalf - NN1245 - spada fantasy

Glamdring era la spada forgiata per il Sire Elfico Turgon nella Prima Era.
And smarrita per migliaia di anni, finch non venne rinvenuta da Gandalf (insieme a Pungolo e Orcrist) nella tana dei Troll ne Lo Hobbit, il quale la tenne per s, e continu ad indossarla lungo tutti gli eventi della trilogia de Il Signore Degli Anelli.

Glamdring viene tradotto "Battinemici", e gli Orchi ne Lo Hobbit la chiamano spregiativamente "Martello".

Glamdring, insieme alla gemella Orcrist, vengono descritte ne Lo Hobbit come corredate da splendidi foderi e con l'impugnatura riccamente decorata da gioielli.
Nei Racconti incompiuti, una delle note alla storia di Tuor recita che la spada di Turgon era "...bianca ed oro...in un fodero d'avorio..." bench Glamdring non sia menzionata, ragionevole presumere che sia proprio essa la spada descritta.

Lo Hobbit - Pungolo, la spada di Bilbo Baggins NN1237 - spada fantasy

Pungolo una lama elfica, trovata da Bilbo nella caverna degli uomini neri nel libro Lo Hobbit, insieme all'altra lama Glamdring (battinemici) e Orcrist (fendiorchi).
Queste ultime due lame sono chiamate dagli orchi "martello" e "coltello".
Tutte queste spade sono di origine elfica e furono forgiate a Gondolin durante la Prima Era.

Bench per gli standard di uomini ed elfi sia da considerarsi poco pi di un pugnale, per un Hobbit si pu considerare una spada a tutti gli effetti.
Bilbo diede Pungolo a Frodo, poco prima della partenza della Compagnia dell'Anello da Gran Burrone.
Dopo la sconfitta di Sauron alla fine della Terza Era, Frodo la don a Samvise Gamgee.

Il nome "Pungolo" venne dato alla spada da Bilbo dopo il suo combattimento coi Ragni Giganti di Bosco Atro, nelle prime versioni per il nome dato alla spada "pungiglione".

Orcrist la spada di Thorin Scudodiquercia, nano di stirpe regale, citata nel romanzo e nei film Lo Hobbit.

Orcrist in Sindarin significa "Fendiorchi"; fu creata dai fabbri elfici di Gondolin, che ne fecero un'arma temibile per i tradizionali nemici degli Elfi, Orchi ed altre creature malvagie della Terra di Mezzo. Come Pungolo e Glamdring, la lama ha la capacit di percepire la presenza degli Orchi nelle vicinanze ed avvertire il suo portatore risplendendo di luce azzurra. possibile che Orcrist sia stata la spada di Ecthelion di Gondolin, che uccise Gothmog, signore dei Balrog, se non addirittura di Turgon stesso.

Ad adornare il pomolo un emblema della araldica di Ecthelion della Fontana. L'impugnatura a forma di dente di drago.

Questa replica autenticamente dettagliata una riproduzione dell'arma costruita dalla neozelandese Weta Workshop e utilizzata nel film Lo Hobbit: un viaggio inaspettato.

La spada di 96cm circa di lunghezza e dispone di una lama in acciaio inossidabile - non affilata - di 64 cm con incisioni elfiche. L'impugnatura realizzata in metallo e resina acrilica. E' accompagnata da un supporto espositivo da parete realizzato in metallo.
