Jon Snow
Jon Snow was born in duecentottantatreesimo year after the conquest of the Western Continent by Aegon Targaryen ; is the illegitimate son of Eddard Stark, played by a woman whose father has never revealed the name .
The name was given in honor of the patron of Ned , Jon Arryn , while the name "Snow " in the North is traditionally given to the bastard children of high birth . Despite not being a legitimate Stark , Jon was accepted by his father and grew up along with the rest of the family. He had the same education in the same age -brother , Robb , with whom he is on good terms , along with Arya , Bran and Rickon . Sansa , by contrast, has always been indifferent , while Lady Catelyn has never accepted , often coming to hate him .
