This knife is the civil version of the one currently supplied to the COFS: Joint Forces Command for Special Forces Operations. Their motto, engraved on the blade and on the ABS suitcase, is "etiam si omnes, ego non", a Latin phrase dealing with the Gospel according to Matthew (26, 33-34) which translated literally means "even if all, I do not" .

The result of these few modifications is an extremely functional and effective dagger. The sheath is ankle-shaped to be worn as Italian paratroopers usually wear a bayonet.
The 39-09 COMBAT version is the compact version with 160mm blade and side sheath.
