Consigli Scarperia - Calabrese in bovine R-CAC20 - knife
A native of Calabria, this knife by the blade and pointed straight but has a handle in the most typical style of Scarborough, has a seal consists of two rings round, similar to Fiorentino, although smaller. It is supposed to have been in the past a major reworking of the knives typical Calabrian by the craftsmen of Scarperia that as often happened then have been extensively used to their own tradition. The name of this knife, typical of Scarperia tradition, probably derives from the blade machining, which features three planes on each side.
During the 19th century, three different models were produced in Scarperia as part of the "stile knives" group, differing in the workmanship of the blade faces. As the first two models gradually disappeared, only one remained in production during the 20th century. Despite the aggressive blade shape, it was not considered a prohibited knife: the laws of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany first, and later those of the Kingdom of Italy, allowed its use.

The HIGO-MH-DLC folder features a 3.5-inch YXR7 blade with DLC coating and Micarta handle. The incredible mirror finish is achieved by heat treating the blade and gradually grinding by hand with wet and dry sandpaper of 400, 600, 800, 1,200 and 2,000. The HIGO-MH-DLC comes with a black leather belt case with a slot to hold the included torx wrench.

This knife blade is convex on both sides in the tradition of the highly praised Japanese sword. This shape is both sharp and strong, and can still slice cleanly through a sheet of paper even after the punishment of chopping and cutting through dried bamboo. Using this special blade shape is an excellent way of allowing an edge to be thick without sacrificing any of its sharpness. This knife is of preeminent sharpness. This is a durable knife with strong cutting capabilities that will last for a long time. Even when used for rigorous cutting, the blade will not bite or catch thanks to its convex shape. Other knives will often bite or catch, and may acquire nicks if pulled out suddenly.

Conza Consigli Scarperia - Maremmano knife 24cm Ox Horn - 50031 - knife
The first certain information on this knife dates back to 1848. A specimen, dated 1871, is kept in the State Archives of Florence, attached to the documents of a trial against a convicted person. The mark of a Scarperia manufacturer, Gustavo Buffi, is clearly visible on it, the shape of the blade is that with an angled back, also maintained in the twentieth century and present in the catalogs of various firms in Scarperia. In the catalogs of the early years of the twentieth century these items were listed as "sharpeners use Palmerini" which was actually the name of a renowned manufacturer of the nineteenth century.
