Wusthof Germany - Chai Dao 14cm. - Classic Kitchen Surfer 5 - 4177-7 / 14d - kitchen knife
The shape of the Chinese blade with a new look and in WÜSTHOF quality: the Chai Dao combines the shape of a Santoku with that of a Chinese cutting knife. However, it adopts not only the shape but also the functionality of the two models. Thanks to the slightly curved shape of the blade, the Chai Dao is suitable for both cutting and shredding, especially for a fluid rock cut. Since this knife is particularly finely ground towards the cutting edge, it should not be used for cutting bones; instead we recommend our European cleaver or butcher's knife.

Proper maintenance prolongs the life of the knife, makes work easier and safer and reduces the consumption of the wire. Some advices:
- Pay attention that the knives placed in the dishwasher bump other objects; the blades could be damaged.
- Knives guaranteed for dishwashers that are not immediately washed in the machine should be rinsed under the tap to remove the remains of highly corrosive foods (fats, vinegar, fruit juices).
- Make sure if the knives no longer cut perfectly, have them rectified or sharpened by professionals in the sector.

Extremely limited edition Yatagarasu MCUSTA folding knife of the Shinwa series, with Mokume blade and produced in only 100 pieces.
Yatagarasu, in Japanese culture, is a three-legged crow symbol of driving owned by the Sun goddess Amaterasu. Yatagarasu appears in ancient Japanese documents, such as Kojiki (古 事 記), in which it is also said that he fought and killed a beast intending to devour the Sun, and that he is also the protector of the emperor Jimmu.
On many occasions, in Japanese art this creature is represented with three legs, although in Kojiki it is never said that the Yatagarasu has more than two. Today, the three-legged version of the Yatagarasu is used as a symbol of the football federation of Japan.Intended use: collection
