Background Information on O-Ren's Sword:
Before gaining control of Tokyo's underworld, O-Ren Ishii received a sword made by Hattori Hanzo.
O-Ren's sword was used only twice. The first time was during the Yakuza boss council meeting, where O-Ren beheaded boss Tanaka for disrespecting her Chinese-American heritage, which she found offensive.
The second and last time was during her fight with Beatrix Kiddo. The lack of a handguard (tsuba) or handle covering classifies this sword as a shirasaya (白鞘), meaning 'white sheath.' Shirasaya is a Japanese blade in a wooden mount with saya (scabbard) and tsuka (hilt).
This particular sword is distinguished by its cherry blossom (sakura) design on the handle (tsuka). Sakura and cherry blossoms are tied to the Japanese cultural view of life's ephemeral nature, the transience of blooming seasons, exquisite beauty, volatility, mortality, graceful acceptance of fate and karma, nationalism, and militarism - traits characteristic of O-Ren. Shirasaya is a sword mounting style popular among Japanese nobility, possibly signifying O-Ren's status as the queen of the underworld in Japan.

Museum Replicas Windlass - Complete armor of Augusta - 300508 - 205 cm - handcrafted
Founded in 15 BC during the reign of Emperor Augustus, Augusta competed with other German cities for the title of the oldest city in Germany. The old part of the historic center is considered the third largest in Germany, after Hamburg and Cologne.
The imperial city of Augsburg was renowned for its armor makers, which included the Helmschmied family and the master gunsmith Lorenz. The Helmschmied of Augsburg, Germany, were one of the most important late medieval European families of armorari / gunsmiths. Their name, sometimes also spelled Helmschmid, translates to "blacksmith helmet". The most important members of the family were Lorenz Helmschmied (active in 1467, died in 1515), Kolman Helmschmied (1471-1532) and Desiderio Helmschmied (1513-1579)
This armor is reconstructed on a model of the sixteenth century, manufactured by this illustrious foundry. Although it is made not to be worn, it retains all the aesthetic beauty and characteristics of full armor.
Handcrafted from 18 gauge mild steel and crafted by the artisans at Windlass Steelcrafts, this armor comes with a museum quality heavy wood pedestal base, decorative waist skirt, and wooden inner shape.
The helmet can accept up to three decorative plumes (sold separately).

Citadel - Iaito Steel craft - DNH7 - selective hardening - practice sword
These handcrafted iaito stand out for their classic line and for their functional quality, which is well coupled with the traditional manufacturing techniques and the materials used.
The blades are carbon hardened to a hardness of about 40 HRC after which, after being hammered by hand, the back and sides are covered with clay and the wire is tempered to 60 HRC for excellent cutting, penetration and flexibility. The blade is then hand-polished on stone and the sword is finished in every single detail.Given the high craftsmanship nature of these swords, we would like to clarify that the photo is purely for illustrative purposes as designs of tsuba fuchi and kashira may differ from the one shown here as well as the weights and measures of the sword may differ, albeit slightly. .

Museum Replicas Windlass - Damascus Viking Sword 500262 - Viking sword
Although iron was a tougher material than bronze it would frequently bend. Damascus, or pattern welded steel, was used to make the blade strong enough to withstand the rigors of combat. Early Viking swords were forged from layers of iron interwoven with strands of steel to produce a very tough sword. This sword is based on an original circa 850-900 AD sword discovered in Finland. The Damascus Viking Sword is made of high carbon Damascus steel. The blade is polished with the fuller acid etched to bring out the beautiful Damascus pattern. The pommel and crossguard are made of solid steel and the grip is leather wrapped wood. Includes a matching wood scabbard with a black leather covering and steel mounts. A very nice example of a true Viking sword.

Citadel - Crafted in DNH7 steel with selective hardening - practice sword
Citadel - Iaito
These craftsmen stand out for their classic line and their functional quality, which is well matched with traditional manufacturing techniques and the materials used.
The blades are carbon-hardened to a hardness of around 40 HRC after which, after being hammered by hand, the back and sides are covered with clay and the wire is tempered at 60 HRC to have excellent cutting capacity, penetration and flexibility. The blade is then polished by hand on stone and the sword is finished in every single detail.Given the high nature of these swords, we would like to point out that the photo is purely for illustrative purposes as tsuba designs kits and kashira may differ from the one shown here as they could differ, albeit slightly, the weights and measures of the sword .
